I can buy it for 15 euros in a megastore near home.
Would it work with your new W&G engine?

    Could you tell me why?
What are the requirements? A special driver? I've heard of this XPlay thing.
I know that the wired Xbox 360 USB works, but it's pretty expensive (35 euros here). :p

We're only supporting the Xbox and Logitech controllers, however, if that controller comes with software that allows you to map keys outside of our game, it's possible it would work. My own controller (which is a Saitek) does this but I haven't tried it with Wallace & Gromit yet. I can try it this weekend and let you know.

That being said, we're trying to get Logitech controllers into our store for a reasonable price... possibly cheaper than the one you're looking at. It's not completely nailed down yet but something we're working on. So stay tuned for that. :)

Is that because only those two makes of joypad support XInput and Microsoft declared DirectInput obsolete, yucky and evil, or is there some other explanation I'm missing?

(Games have been working just peachy with all kinds of controllers for a long time, so where does that sudden "hatred" against anything that doesn't remotely look like an XBox joypad come from?)

Wow, it would be great if you managed to sell these controllers when/before Strong Bad dvd-rom is ready. I would get them in the same package at the same time. ;)

I strongly recommend the Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller for Windows.

It's only £17.99 at amazon.co.uk. It's of high quality and you can also use it on your Xbox 360 (fun fact: the controller for Xbox only is 10 pounds more expensive).

There are also modified drivers to make it more compatible to older games or games which don't support the controller. They're called XBCD (http://www.redcl0ud.com/xbcd.html#v107) and XBCD 360 (http://matt-land.com/xbcd/).
