Anyone else feel a bit cheated?
In regards to the Mexican Stand-off situation at the end of S2E4. Now I adore the Walking Dead series (I've made my own fan-boy merchandise and it's without a doubt my favorite single-player game of all time) - but I was stunned at the way they opened episode 5.
Without a doubt, all guns were focused at point-blank range at each other. It was impossible for anyone to miss at that range - I mean, we had Mike in front of a freakin' shotgun held by a trigger-happy evil Russian. Yet he got out of it with a flesh wound to the arm? The speculation on the forums and with friends was incredibly thought-provoking, with regards as to who would shoot first and who would escape - but my biggest peeve came to the decision as to whether to shoot Rebecca or call for help - that made absolutely no difference.
I hope that if Telltale reads this they will take this on board - I'm not upset all characters survived, it's just how the group were portrayed in a **clearly ** negative position in the finale but had Episode 5 conveniently not show the opening gunfire exchange, not letting us even see how/why the shoot-out took that turn. It's just a shame that the fans of the game analysed and looked into this so deeply yet the story shrugged off the realism and severity of that stand-off, nullifying the dramatic feel of the rapid burst of machine-gun fire that echoed into Episode 4's credits.
EDIT: TLDR - S2E4 ending promised a realistic/horrifying opening to S2E5, but didn't fulfill
