Walking Dead Game Won't Save

Hi, I was playing the walking dead season 1 game and after finishing episode 1 and starting episode 2, I noticed that the choices I made were different, for example when choosing between Doug or Carly, I chose Carly but ended up with Doug. I continued playing anyway and I quit the game after finishing episode 2. Now when I try to load my game from where I left off it tells me that I have to start episode 2 again and if I want to play episode 3 it will randomise the choices for me. Is it possible to fix this?

    I apologize for the inconvenience. Please rename the prefs.prop file in

    /Users/tanyathorpe/Desktop/TheWalkingDead.app/Contents/Resources/Pack/default/

    to prefs.prop.bak to disable it, then restart the game, and your saves should be restored.
