Walking Dead Seasons 1 and 2 are not cross-region compatible

First of all, I can't describe how much I admire Telltale Games' works - especially The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us.
I had the same problem as others have written before (Walking Dead Season 2 being unable to find save files from Season 1 on PS3 while it is there)
and I found a thread about it where "Telltale Mike" responded to one of the guys with
Yes, the games regions have to match in order for them to read each other. So if you have a European version of one Season, and an American version of another, the saves/choices will not be read by Season 2. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
So I figured, since I bought the actual disc of Season 1 in Europe and paid for Season 2 with a Canadian account on PSN I am not going to be able to play with my previous decisions.
Although the second season must not depend too much on the first season's choices, since - SPOLIER FOR SEASON 1... duh - most of the characters are gone, it is still a huge letdown.
I'm hoping there's going to be a solution, a patch perhaps, because playing with randomized choices is not what I had paid for.
