Dreamcast's Birthday Today
15 years today, it was 9/9/99 in America and it's the birthday of the Dreamcast!
Great console that sadly had a short life.

Sega needs to make a comeback and make a new console :P
happy birthday
They really need to do more re-releases of Dreamcast games on modern consoles. I was happy to have the Sonic Adventure games, Crazy Taxi, and Jet Set Radio on my Xbox 360. I was getting excited for the prospect of having more (especially since they went through the trouble of having the Jet Set Radio re-release having almost all the music licensed and having all the extras of the Japan only De La Jet Set Radio, so it seemed like they were doing the HD re-releases justice), and then the releases just dried up.
i thought you left, *hugs Jennifer
Good to see ya back Jennifer
And I agree. I have never played the Dreamcast and it would be cool if they re-released a few.
That's an understatement. It was discontinued after less than 3 years.
It's so nice to see you back in the forums, Jennifer!
Hugs my Dreamcast I decided to play Shenmue again yesterday...Aw the memories...
It depends on the region really. In the United States and Europe the last game was released in 2002 (NHL 2K2 and Heavy Metal: Geomatrix respectively), but in Japan, the Dreamcast lasted 10 years (1998-2007, with the last game released being Karous).
Plus, since it can run CD-ROMs without protection (one of the reasons for it's discontinuation, sadly), companies are still releasing games for it (NEO XYX was just released this year).
Thanks. I haven't taken my leave yet. But I appreciate the show of support.
Ecco The Dolphin: Defender of the Future. If any of you were lucky enough to play this game, it goes without saying.
