Tellale and Promotions
April 24-May 3rd: Free Shipping on orders over $25.
April 11-12: Special Easter Pricing of Sam and Max: Season One
April 7-???: Eisner Award celebration bundles for Surfin' the Highway
March 23-March 31: 15% off W&G, plus 50% off anything in the store
Is this to be an expected business move for Telltale from now on? It seems the saturation of deals and special bundles has shot WAY up recently. On one hand it's nice, especially the 50% off deal, because it gives us a nicer price on older merchandise. On another, it makes prices somewhat harder to measure. Is this week's deal going to be better than next week's? After some time, it may make the price of Teltale's games seem volatile.
I haven't noticed anything that goes back and makes another deal less worthwhile, but it just seems like I can't blink before Telltale's reduced a price or made a bundle. Limited-time promotions make people buy now rather than later, a ton of deals all within the span of about a month can make the true cost and value of things get confusing.
...
But if you want to do another 50% off deal after adding a bit more merchandise, Telltale, I wouldn't mind!

I also purchased my pre-order for Wallace & Gromit that came with free copies of Sam & Max 201 and Strong Bad 104; both of which I already owned. That was fine because the game was still on special. But shortly after my order Telltale changed the pre-order deal to include 50% off anything else in the store. I wish I knew and I would have waited.
Maybe "cheated" is a little harsh. I do expect games to get cheaper as they get older. I guess I just feel a little bummed about it because the specials now are so good. I feel the same way that I just don't know what to expect from the Telltale store tomorrow and I am better off waiting.
Though, I do hope the prices bring in new fans.
We sent 50% off coupons to everyone in this situation. Coupon codes were included in the emails informing preorder customers that episode 1 was available. I'm sorry if you didn't get it.
So I went back and checked all of my Telltale E-mails. You're right, there's a coupon code that expired on March 29th! Admittedly, I didn't read the E-mail. I just read the title: "Wallace & Gromit episode one is here. Come and get it!" and I downloaded my game.
Now I feel worse!
