Is Jared Emerson-Johnson's music copyrighted?
Long story-short, I got to make a short film opening (2 minutes) for a project in university and I wanted to make it thriller-based, somewhat similar to The Wolf Among Us, we are allowed to use music but it can't be copyrighted or if it is, then we need permission from the composer.
Is Emerson-Johnson's music copyrighted? If yes, what are the odds that he would even read a letter that I sent in? Would I have to pay an unthinkable fee?

Hey WittyHam, Jared here:
I'm always happy to hear people interested in using my music in this way, so thanks for the interest!
I know your post is 3 months old at this point, so the deadline for your project is very likely past. If you're still interested, I'll do my best to see if I can make someone with licensing authority aware of this thread.
All of the music I've done for the games is owned by Telltale, so you will definitely need to get in touch with someone there to get approval for this kind of usage. I would be surprised if they don't want to allow this kind of license, but you will definitely want to get explicit approval from someone in their marketing or legal department.
Cheers, and thanks again for the interest, ~JEJ
Ah, have only just seen your comment! I emailed your company and got a reply from Julian back in November, and he said that he would pass the message on to you. I'll send Telltale an email now, and see where it goes
Thanks again!
