Gee they kinda messed up Luke's character.

In Episode 1-2 he was set to be the deuteragonist and Clementine's second care taker. His character got diminished anf overshadowed by Kenny though. Even though Kenny overall is a better character it didn't have to come at the expense of Luke. In episode 3 they made him look like a wussy dumbass, in Episode 4 they made him look immature and dimwitted and Episode 5 he had the cheapest death I have ever seen for a character they were building up so much. They should have thrown the Kenny vs Jane thing in the trash. Luke and Kenny were feuding all season.

  • i agree somewhat. I personally think he was meant to be somewhat of a love-interest role for Clem. Which they kinda killed with the separation in eps 3 and also him hooking up with jane. His death wasnt that cheap thought i thought it was really sad cracking the ice and seeing him choke to death and then die. The deathscene would have had more of an emotional impact had he still been kinda the main main character along with clem but his lines got less and less and then was replaced with Jane completely. The way Nick was written out was even more cheap he basically became insignificant with no lines at the end.

  • Luke was a lover, not a fighter.

    This season was full of poor character deaths. Nick's death was the worst. My actual words when I saw him stuck in that fence as a walker were, "What?! Fuck you Telltale".

  • I doubt he was meant to be a love interest, I saw him as more the big brother type. I agree that his death was emotional and it was something that we'd never seen before too.

  • It was kind of a rip off of Titanic. They could have been more original.

  • Just because he drowned in icy water doesn't mean they ripped off Titanic XD.

    I agree that telltale initial idea was to have a square off between Luke and Kenny. Forcing you to chose between them, it was evident in the dining room scene where you had to chose where you wanted to sit. Eps 3 ruined that and Jane took over Lukes role. Luke was barely in that episode and his character got more and more diminished with eps 4 and 5. I dont know why Telltale had the change of heart.

  • in fact theres only one argument between kenny and luke, at the end of episode 4. only the fanboys of both of them built a rivalry. by the way, in the shootout luke was going to be killed and Kenny saved him.

  • The pretty boy sacrificing himself in freezing water to protect a girl while playing sad music isn't all that different.

    Just because he drowned in icy water doesn't mean they ripped off Titanic XD.

  • They have several disagreements and the two didn't like each other.

  • The Kenny v. Luke choice would've been to hard IMO. The Kenny v. Jane choice was better because it was easier for me (and maybe a few others) to decide between Kenny and Jane, Kenny v. Luke I might've just given up right there and stopped playing the game. ;A;

  • Are you sure? Luke didn't wanna leave Kenny behind, not to mention they got along very well in episode five, infact Kenny's main reason for beating Arvo at the lodge was revenge for Luke's death
