The Beast Among Us
(COMIC SERIES SPOILERS)
I hate to even mention this because I love Bigby so much, but later in the comics Bigby ends up resigning from his duty as sheriff to raise his family and then leaves the mantle of sheriff to Beast. After Beast talks to the witch, Frau Totenkinder, he is able to change into his Beast form at will much like Bigby. Here's my question, would you want to see Beast take the lead role? Would you want to Become the Beast?

I want to keep playing as Bigby.
Only if Beast drastically changes in comparison to how he was in season one.
Definitely would prefer to play as Bigby though.
As tempting as it is to play a buff Kenny, I think people would still want to play as our lovable scruffy wolf instead.
Not really. I personally can't see anyone but Bigby in the role of protagonist.

Well it doesn't have to be after the comics. It can be before the Mister Dark story arc or at least a few years after Beast became sheriff so that he would already be used to the gritty sheriff mantle.
Yeah me neither, I was wondering what everyone else thought. But you have to admit, Beast COULD be the protagonist, it would play the same way.
I didn't like his attitude in The Wolf Among Us all that much. I thought he was cool at some moments, but damn he can be a real bitch if you do something wrong or go against him.
Beast is actually a pretty likable character in the comics, especially after getting the hang of the whole sheriff thing.

See that's part of the great thing about him! You can see him go both ways on the moral spectrum making him great for a Telltale game. Also, he becomes pretty cool after being sheriff for a while
Well I wouldn't know how Beast is in the comics since I've never read them. I just personally wouldn't want to play as Beast since it will feel weird.
If it was a DLC however, I'd look into it.
Maybe, but I wouldn't want that anyway. 1st Season's story has lots of ways and potential for being continued as it is, there is still plenty of unanswered questions. I want to stop making theories and get this Faith/Nerissa twist figured out, I want to see Bloody Mary returning and having her revenge on the Big Bad Wolf, want to find out about other character's fate and on and on. It'll be very disappointing for me if Telltale leave this all behind and start something new with Beast. That won't be good imo. But I guess, we'll have to wait for some news on Season 2 first, hope they make it tho.
In the comics, Beast is generally a nice guy and while he is competent enough, the other fables see him as Too nice as a Sheriff.
I prefer Bigby, because you can go both ways with him. You can be compassionate or ruthless depending on the situation.
I like Beast A LOT, I really do. But I can only imagine playing as the wolf.
No way. First of all, almost all of Beast's time as Sheriff is covered in the comics so it will be very hard for them to find a good timeline for a story. Also, Bigby is my fav Fable and the best choice for a playable character imo because (unlike Beast, who is fairly nice and well respected), you can go both ways with him - ruthless or nice.
Would I play a season 2 that revolved around Beast? For sure. But I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much as I would if Bigby was the playable character.

I would love to be Bigby again in Season 2, but I also love the possibility with Beast. So maybe if they did an add-on like 400 Days from the Walking Dead, that'd be cool.
No no no, definitely not. For me Bigby will always be the one true Sheriff of Fabletown. I have nothing against Beast, I like him, but in my opinion he will never be as good as Bigby on this position. Beast has a predispositions (physical especially) for being sheriff, but Bigby has such a great, unique powers, and there is something else in his character that makes him irreplaceable. It is worth to be mentioned, that when situation in the Fabletown was pretty bad, it was always Bigby or Snow in charge of dealing with it.

To be honest, what really get me into this game and then to the comics was Bigby with his story and quite complicated character. It is fascinating how he changed from the monster back in homelands to being the hero and the family man. His dark past, fighting Adversary, later on his relationship with Snow and then starting a family - really, for me everything what is the best in this game and comics is related to Bigby's story.
Beast really cannot compete with Bigby, he is likable, but not an interesting character for me. I would not play a game with somebody else than Bigby as a protagonist (maybe with exception for one episode with playing as Snow

I dont think many people would buy Season 2 if you dont play as Bigby
Yeah it does but for a story that would be so changing like the one in Wolf, it would be almost unrealistic for it to happen then the comics never mention anything of it again.
If there is going to be a season 2 with Bigby, then I would love for a DLC that had different Fables as the playable character. But if no season 2, then I would prefer have the DLC be one last visit to Fabletown with Bigby.
But that wouldn't matter, the Fables never once spoke of the Crocked Man in the Fables comic series. You can blame their forgetfulness on a spell, time, or maybe by having a story that didn't effect most Fables. (I'm liking the add-on idea more and more). That way Beast could have a story in the Homelands or go to Hollywood to solve a case dealing with Jack. (Just rambling now)
Why not? I would love to return to Fabletown no matter what. However, like most people here, I would much rather be Bigby, but I do love the possibility with Beast.
I was really just trying to show that Beast is a character that actually could take the lead. Being as how he can change into "The Beast" (we never did see Full Beast), and being that he actually becomes the sheriff in the comics. However I personally hated how short Bigby's career as sheriff was in the comics, so I definitely thank that Bigby DESERVES more screen time as sheriff.
This says all.This is why I would rather have bigby than beast.

The comics aren't done yet dude, maybe a bit of Deus Ex Machina on Willingham's part will bring him back... also if they throw Beast down the Witching Well then he'll end up in Haven right....
The comics surprised me when I started reading them cuz Snow and Bigby leave the Fabletown government officially fairly early on in the series, I didn't expect that but Beauty and Beast make a good Deputy Mayor and Sheriff team though...
I'm sure lots of people would buy a season 2 that had Beast as the playable character, I just don't think many people would enjoy it as much as they would if it was Bigby as the playable character (which is understandable).

I don't think so, because after Haven the Fables began to bury their dead. Plus they would've thrown Boy Blue down the witching well if he was just going to come back in Haven.

The game is a prequel set around a decade or two before the comics. There is still plenty of potential for Telltale to come up with a new story featuring Bigby as the playable protagonist that still takes place before the comics.
Crossing my fingers for it, I don't see a reason to switch PCs for the sake of diversity.
