What has happened to tv?

Is it just me, or has every drama series on tv, now become a soap opera?
Back in the day, a drama series, and a soap opera series, were different things.
Now it appears there's no longer any distinction between the two.

I personally hate soap operas.
My ex girlfriend use to drive me nuts with them.

I'm not big on drama either.
This just something I've noticed more so over the last recent couple of years.
So really, what the hell is going on?

    I agree with television shows; nothing but shit. I don't really watch a whole lot of tv. One, don't have the time with work and school. Second, nothing is worth it. May watch a few here and there but that's it. More into Video and PC games, anyway. :)

    My GF loves those 'reality' shows; 16 and Pregnant, Honey Boo Boo....the Jersey Shore...Survivor, those singing shows. Yeah. No thank you.
