  • As you can see, a lot of it was sheer luck. There's a few things I could do though.

1.) Don't jump out to early. A lot of people drowned because they jumped too early and their gear made it impossible to stay afloat.

2.) Don't let your gun become wet

3.) Find and stay behind good cover

Other than that, all you could do is keep your head down and follow instructions. Honestly, I think I'd lose it...a lot of people did.

  • I would die. That's how I would survive lol.

  • By being a German soldier operating the machine gun, I guess.

I would cower behind one of the cover props by the shore, all while I attempt to go from cover to cover to the farthest reaches of the beach where there are no pillboxes.

  • How would I survive D-Day? I wouldn't.

I probably wouldn't, I have shitty luck but if you're currently planning a time travel trip to D-day, here's few tips how ya can survive it.

    1) DO NOT exit the boats among the first ones, you'll be killed immidentaly,

    2) DO NOT attract attention to yourself, don't fire your gun (unless you got clean shot) or make noteable moves.

    3) Find solid covers and move only when the enemy is reloading or firing somewhere else

4)DO NOT pretend to be dead, the place is a fucking bullet and bomb storm, you'll be hit in some point if youre lying at open like an idiot

    5) Use your buddies as covers if you can't find anything else

    6) Chill behind some of the boats in the water and come out when the whole thing is over

  • I wouldn't stay at that spot till I get killed, it's just so happens that I'd have more chances if I was up here instead of down there.

Though, frankly, the only way I see myself surviving this whole ordeal is by not being present at that battlefield.

    Some more tips...

1.) Do not, under any circumstances, mention or show photographs of the girl who's waiting for you 'back home', unless you never want to see her again.

2.) If grazed non-fatally on the helmet, do not brag or marvel at your luck until enemy MG-42's are neutralized.

3.) Do not be the brooding tit who finally realizes the value of comraderrie. Your heroic sacrifice is will be pretty much inevitable.

4.) Do not befriend the protagonist. If possible, shoot him in the back the night before you land.

  • You could always man the shore-defense guns a few miles away. ;)

  • Sounds like a good enough idea to me. xD
