Visual Novels
Does anybody like visual novels? Admittedly a lot of them are an excuse for hentai, but some are actually pretty good. Katawa Shoujo is popular (for a reason) and I liked that one - now I'm trying Kana no Shoujo.
People talk about the gore, at least what I've scene, it's not that bad, and it's not scary. It has a really good story, and I want to know what happens, but apparently you can screw up without even knowing it and keep going (and it isn't always a bad ending, there are short endings. The one I got perfectly satisfied the storyline, and actually probably had fewer people killed than the 'true' storyline). And even when you get a bad or an incomplete end, there's no indication where you went wrong or what you missed, so it's really frustrating (especially since your character is given freetime to investigate areas). Frustrating mechanics aside; it's a really good story and I enjoyed it on my first playthough. Unfortunately it gets a little pornoey here and there... but besides that, great game.
That's a bit off focus - it's a recommendation for the game, both other than that, just wonder who likes VNs and which ones they like.

snatcher by Hideo Kojima is a cool one.
These technically qualify as visual novels.
There's also "Apollo Justice" and "Dual Destinies" after these, and then the "Investigations" series.
Good story, very little porn.
Good story, no porn.
These are technically visual novels. They are really good kind of like Phoenix Wright.

oh yeah that's a good one.
Katawa Shoujo is one of the few I've played. It's hard to find free ones.
