I'm losing my patience with Telltale
Don't get me wrong: I usually love Telltale's games. And this is a rant, and it has been said before.
But I've got enough of this radio silence shit. It was so extremly annoying with Season 2 of TWD, and now the same thing over and over again.
Some teasers: Silence.
I am through with this. This policy is a pain, really.
And don't start with 'They work on the games to the last minute' and 'They don't know themself yet'. It does in no way justify them completley ignoring the fanbase and just giving out some over-the-top tweet now and then.
This isn't the way it should be. And I've heard it wasn't back in the TWD Season 1 days, when Telltale was a small and relatively unknown studio. Now that they are so big and working with giant licences, they somehow think they can just go on with what they're doing.
And it works. They are famous enough now so that everyone comes back anyway. I admit I will too. But it's just a bad policy, and I feel betrayed as a paying customer.
Just had to get it out, feel free to ignore and leave.

I get it too. First we were promised by Telltale that Tales would make its appearance by the end of summer. Next, we were told by fall. Then we were told winter. Idk if they was just exaggerating, but it pisses me off as well.
At the same time, I would rather have them take their time if it means the final product will be worthwhile. I just wish they would keep us updated more often, with some screenshots released weekly and even a new trailer.
Even back during the old days when Telltale was small, they have always been pretty tight lipped about plans for future games until a short time or so before they came out. I'm not saying that's an excuse necessarily as I agree having more information earlier is always nice (but a luxury in some instances), but still, not much has changed honestly.
Actually, Telltale has improved in some areas. Back around 2008-2010, they would not announce entire games until a few months before release. Even though we still have a relative lack of info, we at least get the game announcements themselves much earlier. I think a part of the radio silence can be attributed to the fact that for Telltale's newer games, the story basically is the gameplay, so they have the option of spoiling the story, elaborating on what new changes they make to the choice/consequence system, or being quiet until they have more information to give.
I kind of touched on this in another thread but I'll kinda say it here too, people complain either way, when they hype up a game too much and too early then it isn't that good, and when they go completely silent people complain they get no news. Personally I think the way they're going right now is the right way to go.
