Chapter 7 we're a team (problem)

I'm stuck in the room with clementine where it's too dark,it's saying about propping the door open but is not allowing me to pick up item to prop the door.....has anyone got any ideas why it's doing this? Am I doing something wrong?

    I apologize for the inconvenience. Can you please clarify if you have tried looking at the door, and seeing if there is an icon you can click on that will allow you to prop the door open?
