Fables comics: What is worth reading (for newcomers to the comics)
Fables: it's the main series so read ALL of it.
Jack of Fables: Volumes 1-6 lead up the story of The Great Fables Crossover; 7-9 are not related to the main storyline.
Fairest: It ties in with the main series so again read all of it.
1001 Nights of Snowfall: Prequel to the entire series and has tons of backstory contained within so definitely read it.
Werewolves of the Heartlands: Set in-between Volumes 15-16 of Fables; not related to the main story but shows off how badass Bigby is by himself.
Cinderella: From Fablestown with Love/Fables are Forever: Not related to the main story but it does lead on/off from it in places, shows off Cindy's badassery.
Peter and Max A Fables Novel: Related to the main story by introducing new characters and plot points.
Fairest In All The Land: Heavily related to the main story by answering some obscure questions like charcter disappearances.
(Please note that I possess Volumes as opposed to single issues of the comics and therefore I work from them)

Thanks I'll keep this in mind as I've been getting into the comics and didn't know what spin-offs I should read, I'm only on volume 2 of the main series though, it's good so far.
