The Last of Us
Ok, i never played this game, cuz i only had a fucking Xbox, so i bought the PS3. So here's my lil "review": this game... its amazing. the story its amazing, the characters personalities are great, the acting and the direction and everything that goes into a game it was amazing. love it. it was brutal, it was scary, it was emotional, it was almost perfect. the game play was also very good, but it had its goddamn annoying times, like moving the right stick it moves the whole character (the camera stick) and it makes it annoying that it doesnt have a natural move movement, but it didnt ruin it. also at times motherfuckers coming out of nowhere, and the damn infected fucking you up and killing you fast by punches, but fuck it. also the clickers was annoying, can only kill them with shivs, and the shivs gave very fast so that was annoying. but still the game play was great, the stealth was very good, but it could've been better. its called stealth why not move and hide the fucking bodies?? felt like a missed opportunity but didnt ruin the game. also it was annoying that this motherfucker didnt teach ellie how to swin for all that long but ehhh whatever it was great. ohh also like i said it was annoying that if even if you shot the fucking zombies or whatever in the head if it was from close or with a powerful rifle they didnt die.and also shooting some of the humas was bullshit, but ehh. but really the most annoying shit was killing some assholes and you couldnt get his ammo or gun most of the time ( the ellie mission was brutal, i had to slash my fucking way out with 3 bullets) that was the most annoying shit, i know it was like 20 years in the shit but c'mon max just a couple of rounds for each weapons its ridiculous, but didnt ruin it for me. now for the story great, emotional from the beginning. play as joel's daughter, and then transition to joel and bam she dies, emotional. tess dies emotional, but kinda saw it coming when you get separated. Sam and Henry was very emotional damn poor dude, but from the moment you met them you knew what was going to happen and when they get pinned down when you shooting the sniper you knew kid was fucked. ( great scence with him and ellie). also question? were the assholes that you first meet when they ambush you the same pieces of shit that you meet at the university and that piece of shit that tries to rape ellie?? also what an emotional scene. also idk why this game got flack cuz if the "torture scene". really it wasnt even that bad. he only cut his knee, which we couldnt even see, and strangled him. ehh now had he cut his throat now we talking. and he bloudgen a dudes face which we didnt see (WD S2 made them look like bitches) also not even a pick of of that raper cannibal after ellie cut his face off ( disappointed) but still great fucking game, oh when joel fell in the university and got that metal rod on him goddamn was it intense. now for the real deal.... the end. what did yall think??? did you like it? it was great, but it has been a very great discussion of what you think about if it was right what joel did? or how you felt about it? i know there was a tread about this but its too old and i aint down to look for it. so discuss..

I have an Xbox so I only watched a playthrough of it, so I can't really give you feedback/my opinion on the gameplay. But as far the story goes, I thought it was very well written. The cut scenes were amazingly directed, and the voice acting was on point. The soundtrack was also one of the best I've seen in a game. Like you said, the scene with Ellie almost being raped, Joel falling on the metal rod, and the ending where he rescues Ellie was very intense like a movie.
Then again, I also feel like the whole game is slightly overrated. People claim that you will never play a sadder game, that the character bond between Joel and Ellie is amazing, and that you will care about Ellie more than anyone else you have seen in a game. Tbh, I felt like that was more on the Walking Dead than it was for TLOU. Is it a great game? Hell yeah, but I also think it is a bit overrated.
Every game that relies on mass media to reach its consumers is technically overrated.

i dont think is overrated. just when they say that youll never play a sadder game, cuz clearly WD is better. but not just that WD is sadder i feel is amazing still i feel people just get tired of fans saying more than what it is. again its emotional but i never cried or really at all felt chocked up, maybe cuz i have played WD first.. but i dont think is overrated. it is great. hoping theres a sequel, hopefully Neil Druckmann doesnt leave like someone (sorry), and hopefully they dont get to hung up on making the movie, which i think that maisie williams isnt ellie at all, and focus on writing a good story that is for the sequel,since the guy said that they wont do a sequel if they dont think they have a story they like.
Yeah, I heard that a sequel is definitely being thrown around in the production room, but it probably won't come out until after the movie is released .
Also, play the DLC if you get the chance. Like before, I only watched a walkthrough of it, but the story in the DLC is still great.
i will looks very interesting but i have to buy ill wait when i have money. and yeah i think is going to be movie first, hope it really is good and they dont fuck up. anyone got any ideas for actors choices??? like i said i dont think that that Maisie girl would be a good Ellie. my choice would be Chloe Moretz, but shes older and really looking older at times, (well she's about to be 18...giggity:P) so i dont think she going to be a good choice cuz of that. if she was younger she is most defiantly Ellie. so any ideas? Also any short ideas for the sequel??
I think a cool idea for the sequel will to make it a prequel. Have it be Joel before he meets Ellie, like in between when the events of TLOU happen and when he loses Sarah. People may not like it because it has Ellie though, which is one major reason they probably won't make it a prequel.

i dont think that would work, respect to your idea, but i dont think it would work cuz of the fanbase ellie has. also ehh i dont know about butler. maybe if Troy Barker could put on some muscle he be great. i seen somewhere Hugh jackman if you got him from the prisoners movie.
Yeah I agree, it would be like having Lee in s2 with Clementine. It was just a thought, something they could do if they were having a hard time figuring out a timeline for the sequel. What do you think a cool sequel would be?
That would be a good choice. I think Dylan McDermott would make a good Joel too.
I own it on PS4. Absolutely love it! One of my favourite games of all time. Sure, its not perfect, but, I think its so close to perfect. It looks better on the PS4 and its also good that it comes with the DLC Left Behind.

well like i said in a previous post, what or how different would have felt if clem was the one that died in S1, and i think it still wouldve worked. here it is very different. i mean this Joel's and Ellie's story, where in TWD game it has always been clementine's, and it would have been Lee's if it was the other way around.
as for TLOU i think maybe a one or 2 year time skip. it shouldnt be too much cuz, well i was very surprise when the game did a 20 year one, there is still a lot of shit that still, to say, uncovered. not all the fireflies are dead and like some of the ign ppl said people that maybe word got around that someone like pretty much fucked humanity. so a lot of shit could go off to the place they went to the end, joel's brother place. so one thing that should be a given it should not go and have ellie question joel's lie at the end, got it from the ign but i agree with that a lot. so to get to the question again idk ha, is really hard to think about it, but i would love to see the west coast, i think that one of the early game art had ellie and joel in san fran no?? but like druckmann said it has to be right.
I just gotta say, if I had a PS3 or PS4, The Last of Us would be one of the first couple of games I would get for it. Seriously.
I think the story of Left Behind is better than the main game, but I will understand the direction the main game took if, as hinted, we play ellie in the sequel, if one happens.
ohhhhhhh!!!! @flog61 & shubbalubba(and the ever the fuck else..) my god!! that DLC!! fantastic! goddamn this game is amazing!!! i didnt think the DLC would be that good... the DLC!!! most games suck but this Dlc is amazing and the whole thing is taken to a new level with this dlc, wow what a gaming experience. im kinda disappointed that i bought a fucking xbox and never got the ps3 or something to play this game before. seriously fuck microsoft and xbox, while they have great games like titan fall, dead rising and others like that oh and their best exclusive gears of war but cmon this doesnt compared to TLOU. now is this game better than WD??? ahh no, cuz they are different games but with just same stories. the game play is better in tlou, everything that has to be with gaming experience favors tlou, but goddamn it WD has a much better story. while tlou has a lot of, kinda, a lil more diversity, but wd is just better it makes me feel for the characters, its #IAMCLEMTINE & #MYCLEMENTINE, now the S2 did have its flaws and they didnt make me feel as much as the S1, but they still made me feel for my character and the other ones, my favs, and still got me chocked up for some characters so i still, both games that i count as one, same with tlou and its dlc, find it better there, the story, and that is still the biggest aspect of games, well to me, but i cant choose but have my heart. maybe WD a bit more, but i am going through some TLOU fever right now. so in short i am waiting for this
and the only one that is certain to happen is S3. and i hope TLOU does have a sequel, and i hope S3 ( walking dead) evolve the game a lil more and bring their Complete A game on the story, see of some my ideas and other, including the man's marioluigi. ha well that was long..
I really disagree left behind was alright for a one time playthrough but I prefer the main game much more. Also felt little for the riley character as I knew what was going to happen.
I think the entire point of the dlc is that we KNOW riley will die. It was even in the trailer.
Stories can be incredible when you know the outcome. Hell, the entirety of Greek tragedy relies on that fact.
The inevitability of it adds to the depressing tone incredibly.
