Please Help, Telltale Gamers who are PC Tech Geniuses.

I just wanna ask, Is it possible to play a PC Game in 2 or more player mode using usb joystick controllers?

I don't have other gaming consoles and I wanna play co-op PC Games with my cousins. I tried playing Naruto for PC and plugged in 2 joystick controllers but the second controller doesn't seem to work.

How do I get it working?

Well it is possible but it depends on the game, in most games you have to mess around in the options and assign the controller to the player and then configure the controller, I've never done it with Naruto since I've never played that but I've done it with Arcade emulators and with that I played with 4 people I was using the keyboard and everyone else was using controllers, I also did it with Trine, me using keyboard and mouse and my friends using Xbox controllers.

Anyway it's possible in some games, all the ones I've done it with have been pretty straightforward and easy to configure, so I don't know it might be a problem with that game, have you messed around with the options yet?

I'm no tech genius BTW, just some guy who has played games with controllers before, if it requires messing around with code and .ini files I'm afraid I have no clue on how to do it.
