What do you guys think
I love telltale games like everybody else on the forum. I recently finished The Wolf Among Us (Yes I know I am late to the party) and I started to toy around with the idea of writing a game in a telltale style. I started writing this game in hope that I could give it to telltale and I just wanted to know what you guys think as the people who would be playing this game.
The game is set in the mid 1950's in Nashville Tennessee. Racial tension is boiling and building to the civil rights movement and a perfect setting for this is a state that is in the south but not the deep south. You play as a detective and you constantly come into contact with civil rights issues and attempts to bring out the darkest side of the time. Through your time in the game you have numerous opportunities to be good and support the people or be a complete scumbag. I can assure you that you will walk away from this game emotional and maybe in tears. This would take what we know about humanity as a whole and open the player up to the atrocities that happened in our past perpetrated by our citizens and government alike.
Some of the details can be subject to change especially the location. Be honest and let me know what you think.

...Racial issues...Knowing some people on these forums that would cause problems...
I don't think Telltale would accept the idea...Just because you aren't really a writer but I say it sounds interesting.
It sounds like a good idea, but I think it would cause people to get mad because of racial problems. A while ago a few people got extremely upset over the urban joke in Twdg season one. And that little scene was only about 15 seconds long. The idea sounds fun, but I would just be careful on how you write it because some people are very sensitive.
It sounds Really Fucking amazing, i would play it in a heartbeat. But between you and me, there are some oversensitive pussies out there who wont like it. but good idea! im writing one too. its About silent hill, if your gonna send an idea to telltale tho, make one about a popular franchise. thats just my opinion tho. Good Luck!
Maybe, I'm a bit skeptical about the premise though. The best parts of The Walking Dead are when the choices are very ambiguous. It's hard to imagine much nuance in regards to the Civil Right's Movement - it would be hard to imagine any case where the choice is 'be racist,' or 'don't be racist,' and that doesn't give much interesting choice since I think about 98% of the population would choose the latter. I can just imagine it easily turning into "Mississippi Burning," which was a pretty lousy movie. (Unless you want to talk about the issue of violence resistance, such as addressed by people like Malcolm X, Stokley Carmichael, and the Black Panthers, in which case people would probably get pissed for other reasons.)
I'm sure Telltale could make a great game out of it if they wanted to, but it doesn't fit in Telltale's business model, which is to attract franchises with an existing fan base. (How many people would have bought the exact same zombie games if they didn't have "The Walking Dead" attached to them? Yes, some would, but not as many.) They do have a "pilot program" for experimental games, but they may be a bit squeamish on this one.
