Its not much about the jump-scares. If you watch it on YouTube its not that scary. But the reason why people are afraid is because the immerse themselves into it, most of the audio on YouTube you'll ever see is missing key audio, which is the most terrifying part of the game.
When I first saw it I thought the game wasn't scary until I played it myself. When you're sitting in a dark room listening to creepy animaltronics wandering around making noises its more scary than you think it its. Most people who play the game on the internet aren't really scared of the jump-scares its the noise that gets them, and I have to agree its scares the life out of me.
The game isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it seems (most) people who criticize the game about the jump-scare's haven't played the game, just watched it.
Just because it's successful doesn't mean it isn't bad.
It is indeed bad but for some reason, people enjoy sitting in a room closing doors slowly waiting for a cheap jumpscare.
The game isn't even hard if you don't worry.

Good you're not scared of it, I'm terrified. First time I played it, the mascots were really aggressive and I was drinking chocolate milk. When I flashed the lights I saw the bunny standing there, and spilled it everywhere. To make it worse I heard the animal things wondering around the office..... I quit after that. (Then cleaned my spilled milk lol)

One day at lunch my friend wouldn't stop going on about FNAF. I told her to shut up because it's not scary, she then challenges me to play it saying "You'll cry like a bitch". I played it, I wasn't amused through the whole thing, once I reached night three without dying I challenged her. "I bet I can finish the game without dying once", she agreed, it was on, the bet was 20 dollars. I did and and now i'm 20 dollars richer, she still won't shut up about the stupid sequel...I might have to play it...I'll raise the bet to 60 next time.
Well...

Yeah but there's only three places they can come at you from. And I don't think they all come at once through the middle entrance. Probably two at most. So really you only have two in each vent, two in the doorway and the puppet to worry about at any one time.
I liked his old content was good, but for me his new stuff is just way to out there. Is link dead in Mojara's mask? I really didn't like that kind of stuff.

I like his science stuff a lot though.
I really want Scott to team up with Telltale to make a Five Nights at Freddy's game. And you can get DLC's as characters from Telltale games like Lee, Clementine, Bigby, Bloody Mary, etc. And they'd all be animatronics.

In a way. A few claimed that the only reason he released it so early is because he already had it done and released the demo to have youtubers play it (because you know the youtubers are going to play it) and build hype for the game before releasing the game in its full during the peak of it's hype.
It's all theory and speculation and isn't based on fact as far as I know, but that's what I heard a few claim.
I think the sequel was just made as a cash grab to gain even more from the highly successful original, there's no reason they couldn't have just made this an update or a DLC.
It's about the buildup TO the scare. Jumpscares are well done if there is buildup along with it.
Jumpscares are lazy when it's thrown in your face with no buildup or dread.
This is not lazy buildup. The fact that it's about trying to multitask without dying, KNOWING that the jumpscare is coming if you fail (IMO that is the scariest part)
No, there's too much taken out and added in to make it an update or DLC.
It's still very well done IMO and he took advice from people for… more his next game it seems.
The only time I do mind the "cash grab" argument if the game is clearly bad, which this game isn't.
How much is FNAF 2 anyway?
Granted, the game has a lot more mechanics than the original. It would be simple to add difficulty to four bots and have them go in certain patterns, now double that and it would take twice as much time.
Essentially, the original was four NPCs in pictures, a power meter, and death screams. This one probably doubles that.

I hate this game.
Just want to put this out there.
The game only gets really scary if you wear headphones, it really amps up the immersion.
whyyyyyyyyyyy
Cashgrabs and bad ones at that.
Well its pretty successful, so I wouldn't call it bad.
Just because it's successful doesn't mean it isn't bad.

I played it and never once died because I didn't worry..Plus I have good luck.

The one and only time I played and beat it without dying is an interesting story...Wish to know?
Yes pls
Well...

You might not make it through the sequel. Its harder, its 10 enemies not 4. And there's a whole new system now which is confusing and hard.
If she doesn't challenge me, i'm not playing it.
If she does, you can possibly make a fortune of like thirty bucks.
Indeed...
So is anyone up for discussing theories regarding the story.
I heard a few youtubers complain that he was using Let's Players to build hype.
Like using their videos?

This seems pretty legit. Nothing else to theorize.
Does make a lot of sense.
I really don't like game theory.
Neither do I. MatPat tries too hard to be funny, and the Mario Communist theory was what killed it for me.
But I liked this theory.

I didn't even know he did science stuff.
You should check out Vsauce if you like science stuff. I think Michael's content is amazing.
I love Vsauce.

That would be a complete mess.

8 bux, 3 more than the original.
Yeah, that'd be taking it to a whole new level of meh.

Sorry bro, but I cannot envision that in my head.
Finally got the game today, played through nights 1 and 2, then ran out of power on night 3. Got killed by Freddy.
I can't either. I just wanted to see the replies I got, lmao.
A funny mess, though. It'd probably be better than Season 2 anyway/
Quite a few things would be better than Season 2. Perhaps a better Season 2.
