For those of you who were not a part of the Monkey Island community back in the days, there was a lot of fanart, as can be seen here

I don't know about you guys but I got inspired right away when I saw the Tales of Monkey Island footage and I've been sketching like a madman the past two days.

Any artists in here? I'm curious if we'll see some new ecxiting work. And I of course hope dat some old favorites like Ado will come back to make some more masterpieces

I'm still secretly hoping that Paco will someday finish his Secret of Monkey Island comic someday, and if Tales doesn't get him inspired, nothing will.

Tales has pulled Paco back in to some degree, as he and Dalixam are working on www.talesofmi.net !

I just preordered My copy of Tales of Monkey Island and I decided to go to forum...and what a pleasant surprise.

Thank you Junaid for all those kind words and hopefully sometime soon I'll do more work.

But in meantime, I'll post a three pages of my sketchbook, where each page continues into another. I hope you guys will like it...

I love Paco's comic. Maybe if he finishes it he can get it published through Telltale (with LA's permission of course)

Haha indeed! I'm seeing lots of familiar faces around, and both World of MI and the SCUMM Bar have re-launched or started new sites. Good times.

^ This was an idea for Guybrush turning Murray into a key-ring which he could hang from his belt. I thought hearing Murray's responses about becoming an accessory would be rather amusing.

Years ago I pulled up a neat little site I used from time to time called artPad and came up with this:

To be honest...when I started I had no idea where I was going with this thing. The part that became Guybrush's neck was originally his ponytail but I decided it was too far down...and too huge.

Then by the time I got to LeChuck's hat I simply couldn't make up my mind. It was kind of brashly thrown together, but ultimately I'm happy with the end-result.

Due to forum regulations and sensitive members, the drawing contains a censor bar to retain viewable for anyone, although, honestly, there's nothing there, no really... I just put the text there to be safe...

Regretably, i haven't even played a single MI game ever, although i'd love to, especially the third, i love the art style...

This isn't very exciting fan art, but after I started working on my Day of the Tentacle Winamp Skin, I was having trouble coming up with designs for anything other than the main window, so I toyed for a bit with each window showcasing a different game.



It didn't come out that great, so I ended up going back to an all-DoTT skin. Someday I might make a Monkey-Island themed skin somehow, but I don't make skins like I used to, these days.
