Mouse Problems

So I just purchased this game and I can't complete the first episode because every time I left click and drag up on my laptops stock mouse it doesn't register the action, so my squire is constantly getting hit in the face with arrows. Anyway I can get around this?

You can use WASD or your arrow keys.
