Wierd Anti-aliasing?

I've played on PS4, but I've seen PC gameplays with everything on High with the same problem.
Game of Thrones, unlike Borderlands, uses a very odd Anti-aliasing. In fact, it seems it doesn't even have one.
You can see jaggies around everything, not the usual jaggies though, it seems some objects have transparency on their edges. It's wierd.
I loved the game, as any Telltale game for that matter, I hope they fix it. :)

I think it's suppose to be like that...Because... It's suppose to be a Oil painting or something...I'm tired and forgot the actual name.

    Edit: Thanks Green.

I think (don't quote me on this) that it makes rough sharp edges and stuff, smoother. Again I dunno, and I'm too lazy to google it but I'm pretty sure that's what it is :P

Anti-aliasing: (in computer graphics) a technique used to add greater realism to a digital image by smoothing jagged edges on curved lines and diagonals.

EDIT: meant to reply to JamesDalton

  • It is really strange. It was actually bugging out a lot for me though. I posted in another thread about this, but the AA was causing massive amounts of blur around the edges and as a result the background would often distort and look pretty messed up.

  • That makes more sense now. Thanks for the answer.
