Point n Click or Interactive Movies??

I like TT games I think what they have done is great ,
Sam & Max, Wallace & Gromit , Monkey Island
but
The Wolf Among us & Walking Dead (quite possibly Jurrassic Park & GOT havent played them)
Seem more like interactive Movies, which despite AMAZING visuals just seems a bit dull.

I like walking around for an hour with a walking stick wondering where im supposed to use it,
or magically combining a 'Bird' and a 'metal pipe' to create a 'Crowbar'

Just a thought Ive been having , and I do like GOT im just not all that interested in an interactive movie that doesnt really matter what I do or say to finish the game

  • They are both point and click and Interactive movies.

  • I'm calling them Point and Clicks. It's a video game, plain and simple, at least to me.

An interactive movie is entirely different from a story based Point and click game.

Point and Click (Story wise) take advantage that its a game and have the player be more involved and connect on a higher level. Example: When picking a choice to have somebody's life in your hands you don't just press a button to do so. The developers involve you with it, to really immerse you within the game, even if its just a simple quick time event.

Interactive Movies on the other hand, are just "Yes" and "No" they do not involve with anything and there is little to do within them.
