Not a good idea, I think. I'd rather have new games rather than remakes.
Besides, I think the backgrounds in Grim are beautiful as they are... I'm not sure I'd think 3D versions were equally pretty.
I don't mind 3D adventure games, but if you 'convert' an existing 2D game to 3D... it would be very noticable if areas ended up looking uglier.
l have never played grim so l might be wrong, but l thought the game is in 3d
Full Throttle or DOTT would be great. Grim does not need a sequel. The original was a masterpiece, and touching it is tantamount to blasphemy. A remastering would be acceptable and welcome, but the art style is more established than MI, so great care would need to be taken to maintain it perfectly.
Although I do concur the sentiments expressed here about the unnecessary sequels to Grim, I do see hope to see spin-off to fill in the blanks when Manny worked in the diner and turn it into a casino, or the time he spend while working his way from a crew-member to a captain. Kinda like giving GF a light-hearted twist to complement the epic self-contained story.
l recently replayed DOTT and just realized that the entire game only has a few rooms (when compared to other Lucas Arts games), which are all focused on the actual Ed Inn during different periods.
HAvin somethin like that would be perfect in regards to an episodic game from TT especially how their Sam and Max games mostly focus a tiny location.

Actually the Maniac Mansion setting (DOTT was a sequel to Maniac Mansion) could really work as episodes, however I have my doubts if the setting can work for more than 2-3 episodes. How often do you want to play in the Mansion?
On the other hand the names. DOTT2 is close to impossible, Maniac Mansion, no one except for us old oltimers still know this game!
Monkey Island 2 and Day of the Tentacle are absolutely my favourite adventures, so a MM spinoff series would be amazing. For Grim Fandango I'd just like to see a Point and Click remake, though obviously that wouldn't be a Telltale project.
Oh grim fandango was my favorite adventure game. There's 3 game I would like to see a sequel: Grim Fandango, Leisure suit lary 7, Indiana jones and the fate of atlantis
OK, I loved Grim Fandango to death (Hah! I made a pun!). I think it's the best adventure game ever made. That's a big statement, but it deserves it. I mean, look at it! Great characters, great voice acting, great locations. Very original, it's a great mixture of styles and influences. But most importantly: the STORY!!! See, it's funny, yes, but also very dramatical and you really bond with Manny. You are really moved by this game, especially at the end. I wouldn't make a remake or new games, the game has a clear and perfect ending... Why ruin a good thing?
I do have another idea though...
What about new Discworld games???
I think the license wouldn't be very difficult to obtain, you'd have a huge fanbase, it's got a good adventure legacy, you could get help from Terry himself (though he's ill, I think he's in an early stage of Alzheimer) and his daughter is in the gaming industry herself! And it's always been funny; and Telltale's good with comedy... SO.....
Do I get a percentage of gross profits for my great idea?
I've always wondered how a sequel would even work for Grim Fandango.
Especially with Manny.
For me, Manny was the success of the game and there is no way he's returning.
I don't need Grim Fandango 2. I think it stands very well on its own.
Loom is a game that needs sequels, though... the storyline was never finished.
I highly highly agree. I loved loom, I thought it was wonderful, but left so many questions unanswered that i think it soured alot of it's players who never had the info that it was the first of three parts.

One idea I had for a prequel story was one about Salvador, and how he went from DoD reaper to LSA head...
Just an idea.
