What is your philosophy?
DO NOT COMMENT HERE IF YOU PLAN ON HARMING OTHERS
With that said, I want this thread to be about one another's "philosophy" or/and "ideology" (so that we can all learn about one another).
I know that there has been a thread that's really similar to this one, but it ended up being an Atheist vs. Theist debate, with near (to not say that it had) bashing/insulting experiences. So, if you have the feeling to comment in a negative way, just do not comment (it will be way easier for you and it will not make people mad/sad).
So, besides that, this is my first thread... Hurray?

I'm Agnostic, I don't know if there is or isn't a God and frankly I don't care.
There're philosophies outside of religion, Golden.
Having read a lot of plato, I do agree somewhat with Protagoras' 'don't assume anything' view of the world. He says things such as if ones parent is a good flute player than does not make her one. I'm also rather attracted to Epicurus' approach.
Outside of philosophers, I have the same view as french revolutionaries did, albeit a much less nationalistic one.
Liberty, equality, friendship, in order of decreasing importance.
Not really, you were gone for like two days.
Not really, you were gone for like two days.
Yes I realize this Flog.
...However I stated the one of religion.
Anyway, nice to be back, you miss me?
In the two or so days of your absence my heart broke repeatedly and I had to question what life was worth without you in it.
My comments kept on getting eaten and I realised it was two days.
My sarcastic comment has remained though, luckily.
Haha I did 'care' I just wasn't at the stage of missing your presence, that would have come if you'd been gone for like a week :P
@Flog61
2 actually, however that doesn't mean you couldn't have missed me. I saw that thread you made yesterday and I wanted to defend you but couldn't so...Thanks for caring!
Haha I did care, I just didn't miss you as you were gone for such a long time and my life doesn't revolve around the forum :P
Layers of sarcasm with a stone of truth in the middle.

I know that's sarcasm but thanks.
Thanks.

Although I disagree with Plato in general (since he's the one saying that the soul will continue to exist even if the body doesn't) and I'm more into Aristotle, I agree with you in the wise words of liberte, egalite, fraternite.
Well the Plato I read was him repeating the arguments of others, hence me agreeing with Protagoras rather than him
I just hate Aristotle's description and interpretations of Greek tragedy so I steer clear of him :P
Wow you guys are deep...
I always try not to look at things extremely black and white, though that can be hard sometimes with all over the place the world is.
Eat, Drink, love tonight
For tomorrow you die.
Ah, yeah! My bad! I haven't really took my time to pay attention on your previous comment about Protagoras...
I highly agree on Protagoras statement saying that humans are the ultimate source of value and (as you said) to do not assume anything. What about you?
Truth is told about your statement of Aristotle, as Aristotle's description and interpretations of Greek tragedy might become annoying on some extent.
Damn... that was deep (but in a simple way).
Agreed, people and the world should look at things in a grey perspective
I live my life like this guy

I don't think I have one, I do try to help everyone I can while being as cynical and mean as possible, does that count as a philosophy?
'Tis the Philosophy of being a nice jerk.
I am a sea of grey in a mosaic of dirt.
Eat. Sleep. Saltlick. Repeat.
Actually I would say try to be ope minded about stuff, Things can change or be misinterpreted very easily.
My Grandfather's Philosophy about life was
"If i can't shoot it, fuck it, or drink it, i'm aint interested." & "Fuck it, two tears in a bucket."
These two phrases i am not sure if they helped me in life or hurt me. That is debatable.
Carver's philosophy.
And Spock's "The needs of the many, outweigh the needs of the few."
Live. Die. Repeat. is a good one too, though I don't necessarily agree with it.
Actually agnostic isn't a thing by itself, one can be an agnostic theist or an agnostic atheist. Atheism is simply the lack of religion. Agnostic/gnostic describes the knowledge (gnostic = know, agnostic = don't know). A gnostic theist is someone who follows a religion and believes that there definitly must be a god, a gnostic atheist is someone who believes that there definitly isn't a god and doesnt follow any religion. Themoreyouknow
I knew this however it asked what my philosophy is...If you ask my religion it is Agnostic Atheist but that causes too much trouble.
I say don't waste your life on stupid things, because you don't know when it's gonna end. I'm rather alone than with assholes. Life is unfair but that's reality. Be nice to me and I'll be nice to you. There is no secrets, either all my friends know or no one. Be skeptical. I don't judge you by your sexuality, nationality, gender, whatever, I judge you by how much of an asshole you are. Fantasy is more epic than reality. Stick to old things as long as they still do their job and don't cause trouble.
Thats...thats all about mine I guess.
Does this mean you just don't give a fuck?
...Would you be offended if I say yes. :P
Uh....they sound incredibly harmful from where I'm standing.
Do whatever I want, because if there's no afterlife I don't want to waste my life.
I have several phrases that resonate with my philosophy on life, but these three have been at the forefront of my mind as of late.
"In the end, only three things matter. How much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you."
"Wolves don't lose sleep over the opinions of sheep."
"I started my life with a single absolute: that the world was mine to shape in the image of my highest values and never to be given up to a lesser standard, no matter how long or hard the struggle."
