  • I don't think this movie is great, but I remembered enjoying it when I saw it a couple of times.

    City of God

    I know this one, it's a brazilian movie. It's indeed a great movie. :P

I also like ''The way he looks''. ''Hoje eu quero voltar sozinho'', the original title.

  • Prisoners, I dont know if its "Unknown" but I never saw any trailers or ads or anything for it

  • That was a great movie.

  • I remember that movie. I never saw it though. There was a lot of hype around it before its release, but afterwards everyone seemed to have completely forgotten about it.

  • You know let the right on in too? That's awesome!

  • Metallica: Through the Never. And yes, that is an actual movie, it stars Dane DeHaan and of course Metallica.

  • I always list Cannibal! The Musical as a movie I think no one's ever heard of, then always find out that everyone's heard of it, so I dunno.

!!! Nobody's heard of Finding Forester? Maybe there's a generational gap, but when that came out it was the talk of the town.

Movies I would suggest are: Strange Days, One Hour Photo, The Woodsman, anything by David Cronenberg, or Spike Jonze.

Please, tell me what kind of film you like, I can give you recommendations and go on for HOURS about this subject. You've seriously hit my passion.

  • I watched "The exam" yesterday on Netflix and it was pretty good, clearly not a high budget however it was a decent psychological/mystery film

The British Movie right? There's a Spanish movie (El Examen) which is soooo much better. There's a sort of game-like element which makes "The Exam" seem half science fiction, El Examen is completely mundane and that makes it all the more thrilling. It gets incredibly stressing but never to the point of feeling unrealistic. Everything has believable test (pick a leader among you, one of you is a mole with the company, find out who it is, etc.) It's not "The Game' with Michael Douglass, like the British version is, it's completely on a human and believable level. I seriously recommend it, I saw it before "The Exam," and honestly it pales in comparison.

  • I thought the English one was decent enough though I agree the "disease" portion of the film was a bit odd plus I predicted the winner fairly early and knew for definite quite a bit before the reveal. is the Spanish on Netflix etc?

I think it is on Netflix. I messed up though, it isn't 'El Examen,' it's "El Metodo." (English title "The Method")

  • If it's on Netflix, I'm sure there will be English subs.

Just in case you can't find it (I'm pretty sure it's one Netflix, maybe not on Instant) The other Spanish language movie that I know is on Netlix is an Argentinian movie called "El Aura," and it's an excellent movie. It's a crime drama (not much actions, it's you're average joe who has fantasies of criminal life and gets to live them out.) There are two scenes in particular (won't spoil them) which are cinema gold.
