Thank you for the compliment, I truly do appreciate it. I think every kid dreamed of being a veterinarian at one point, and I do adore animals, but I'm actually studying criminal justice at the moment. I'd like to work in the courts system, perhaps as an attorney or paralegal. My back up plan if that doesn't work out is to become a childcare worker/nanny, because I've grown up having to babysit siblings/relatives.
I can definitely understand your being scared through that whole ordeal.
If it's any consolation, I would've been scared too.
But you foug… moreht through your fear, and did what needed to be done, and as a result that little puppy will hopefully have a chance to grow up and have the future you described for her.
Have you ever considered working with animals, professionally, like perhaps becoming a veterinarian?
The reasons I ask is, A: You're obviously a very intelligent person. And B: You stepped up and accomplished something that not many people can do. So if you were able to save a newborn pup from drowning in it's own fluids, I would think that you would probably be able to do well at something like veterinary work.
If I remember correctly, I believe you once stated you were going to college, or something like that?
If so, I imagine it would be pretty easy to transfer into a veterinary school, after completing college.

Well, I did cause her to hit her head against the wall, so I stayed away for a bit. Didn't want to complicate things even further by trying to contact her constantly. It was only yesterday when she finally replied back to my text. She told me she didn't blame me for what I did, but things might definitely be a little awkward between us from now on, until we overcome that particular barrier. Early afternoon today, she texted me again, said I should probably come on over to smooth things up with her parents, as well. I was hesitant and rather nervous, but I went anyway. As you can maybe imagine, it was a little tense. Long story short, they forgave me, although her mother still gave me the stink-eye now and then. I lingered in the living room with her for awhile; even chatted a bit before going home.
It was indeed awkward, but things ended up working out one way or another, so I'm not gonna complain.
I'm really proud of this fanfiction that I have published. It's a Five Night's at Freddy's story is told through the perspective of the animatronics and the possible reasoning for them attacking the player. It's by far the most successful of my three stories and there's lots of people saying "This is so good! Can't wait for the next chapter!" which is great because the primary goal of writing a story is to make people want to read on and not want to stop reading, and it seems like that's what's happened with my story. I'm excited because it's something I really enjoy doing, so I've got another potential career option in the future.
Criminal Justice?
Well I guess if I should ever get into legal trouble, I'll know who to turn to for help.
Lol!
Seriously though, becoming an attorney sounds very interesting.
I myself, am making it a point to learn some things about the law.
With people being so lawsuit crazy, you never know when such knowledge could come in handy.
Obviously to become a professional lawyer, you have to go to a law school.
But out of curiosity, how much can you learn about the law in college?
I never had a chance to go to college, which is why I ask.

Quite a lot actually. I've also had a few internships with a prosecutor already, and that's helped broaden my experience/knowledge on the topic. I'm quite a ways from law school, so my plan is still open to changing depending on whether I can afford it and, well, Life. At this moment in time I'd really like to be able to go.

I'm proud of punching the kid next door in the gut.
Fifteen years old and throwin' rocks at stray cats whilst his shitty little friends bounce footballs off car windows. They act all mean and tough, babbling on about smoking pot and whispering insults directed to my sister, only to piss their pants when someone finally gets in their face and stands up to 'em.
I'm proud that I finally gathered up the courage to ask this girl out that I've liked for some time, plus it turned out that she's liked me for a while too. We've been on two dates so far and I couldn't be happier. And I hope everyone's 2015 is starting off great.

It's kinda sad.
It is sad, that people are capable of such despicable behavior.
Sounds to me like that kid needs to get his ass swatted with a belt, for acting that way.
For him to be acting that way, his parents must be doing a piss-pour job at raising him.
If he's gonna act that way, he better get use to getting stomped.
The problem is if he keeps it up, is that one day he's gonna smart off to the wrong guy, the type of guy who doesn't give a damn about consequences.
There are so many people out there today, that if so much as even look at them wrong, you could be putting your very life in jeopardy.
And a good way to stay out of trouble, is to follow these four simple rules.
1: ALWAYS show others respect, in word and in action, even if you don't agree with them.
2: Mind your own business, as in don't stare at people, don't eavesdrop, don't snitch on people, and don't get involved in other people's quarrels.
3: Do not flirt or have an affair with a married woman; or one that has a boyfriend, as that's a sure-fire way to get into serious trouble.
4: If a fight is about to break out, if you can, leave the situation, while making sure not to turn your back.
( Now I know some might say, in regard to the 4th rule: "But what if the fight is over a girl that I like?"
Well I learned a long time ago, that if a woman wants you to potentially get busted-up for her, then she ain't worth it. No woman is worth getting hurt over. Besides a woman, that truly cares for you, will not ask you to put yourself in that kind of situation.
That rule also applies to people who are truly your friends, as people who are truly your friends will not ask you to put yourself in a dangerous situation, nor force you into that type of situation.
And as far as people thinking you're a coward, think about this: Who do you honestly have to impress?
Don't worry about what a bunch of strangers think about you.
Plus, if you're worried about impressing a woman, getting into a fight aint gonna do it.
Most women will just consider you a jerk if you do that.)
I hope for that kid's sake, he changes what he's doing, although he probably won't.
I say that, because most people don't change.
Most people are who they are until the day they die.
Still, hopefully that kid will change, will actually grow up and act like a man, instead of acting like an unruly child.
I'm proud of punching the kid next door in the gut.

Just to let you in on a little secret, btw I'm assuming you're a teenager, that even grown men can get nervous when it comes to asking a woman they like for a date.
I'm proud that I finally gathered up the courage to ask this girl out that I've liked for some time, plus it turned out that she's liked me … morefor a while too. We've been on two dates so far and I couldn't be happier. And I hope everyone's 2015 is starting off great.
Why do you think because you managed to overcome a problem that every single human in the world who may have far more extreme ones than PTSD can? That's a rather self-centred view of the world.
I wrote IMDb's plot summary for Jurassic World on the official page. Now basically all news wires use IMDb as a source, so I see my summary in the news.
You say you're moving forward in your life?
Congratulations!
And you claim you didn't smack your little brother, even though he was acting disrespectfully?
If so, again congratulations.
Self-control is essential for having a successful life.
It's what will keep you from doing things you know you shouldn't, but it's only useful as long as you adhere to it.
Thats good man, get a job at the gym... and everything will be perfect.
My Anger issues were bad today, someone hit my truck by sliding into it because of the snow we got last night, you know the feeling your about to explode in anger, so you tell yourself its ok...
Its ok
its ok.
its ok
Then i scared everyone post office, because i'm trying to renew my passport so i can go abroad, and plan on invading some European countries soon, and i lost the picture that goes in the passport, it fell out of the folder i had with all my other info. So i had to drive BACK home, to get it, then come back, didn't find it in my house, I find it buried in the snow.
Now i head back to the post office, give them my wet photo, 140.00 and my birth certificate. GOING TO ENGLAND BABI, God Save the Queen indeed!

You're welcome.
Another thing I'd like to point out, if I may, is that it's good that you're getting out on your own.
Living at home can either be good training for life, or it can be a fool's paradise.
What do I mean?
While living at home, it can allow you the time to learn how to take care of yourself, your expenses, as well as learning how to make simple household repairs; which will help you save money, as it's far cheaper to do it yourself, than to pay a professional to come in and do it for you.
However if you're just sitting around and not learning how to do anything, when you are on your own, you're not going to do well.
Living on your own, will teach you more about life than you can ever learn by living at home.
For your sake, I honestly hope you are truly making the proper preparations to be able to live on your own.
And I wish more young people would be more serious about life, because mom and dad are not going to be able to take care of them forever.
If young people do not learn how to fend for themselves, one of two things is gonna happen; regarding their parents.
1: Their parents are gonna get fed up with their kids leaching off them, and throw them out.
Or 2: Their parents will eventually die, and the kids will be on their own anyway.
Either they, they will end up on their own.
And then the kids, because they refused to learn how to take care of themselves, are going to end up on the street, where they will be either forced to beg, or possibly get forced into prostitution by men who are only interested in making money off them.
And fyi, young boys can get forced into prostitution, the same as young girls can, if their living on the streets.
And it happens all the time.
Either way, whether they are begging on the streets, or being forced to prostitute themselves, they'll end up in a situation where nobody loves them, where nobody will even give them a second thought.
The only kind of people they'll meet on the streets are those who are only interested in what they can get out of them.
Who will end up just using and abusing them.
And what kind of life is that?
That's no life at all.
I honestly hope, that any young person reading this, will give serious thought to what I've said here.
Life is not some stupid videogame, where you get a do-over anytime you want.
In life, you often times only get one shot, and then whatever decision you've made, that's the one you're gonna have to live with, whether you like it or not.
While you have the time, get serious about life.
Stay in school, get your education.
Learn how to work, by performing everyday tasks that need to be accomplished.
Get a job, and learn how to manage the money you make from said job.
Either strive to become a success, or you'll end up becoming a statistic.
It's good that you are motivated.
But with all due respect, I thought I knew everything too, when I was your age.
But as I got older, I found out that what I thought I knew, I really didn't know.
In fact, there's still a lot of things I don't know, and in reality; it doesn't matter how old a person gets, nobody will EVER know all there is.
Now I'm not trying to belittle you, or anything like that, so please don't be offended.
I'm just simply pointing out that there is a danger in overconfidence.
As normally people who are overconfident end up falling flat on their faces, so to speak.
That's why when an older person, particularly your parents, gives you sound advice; and I'm not saying you don't do this, but it's important to listen.
Because they've been your age, and have suffered the pitfalls that are common to people of your age-group, and can help you avoid those same pitfalls; if you'll allow them to.
You may have heard, or you may even believe, that experience is the best teacher?
Well quite frankly, that's not true.
It is a teacher, but it's the most expensive one there is.
So if there is an opportunity for to not have to go through something you'd regret happening to you, why wouldn't you take it?
If your parents, who love you more than anything, advise you not to do something and explain to you why you shouldn't do something, why not listen to them?
No matter how old you get; you're always gonna be their child, and as their child, they only want the very best for you.
So be sure to show them both respect and appreciation, even as you prepare for life outside the nest.
And continue to do so, for as long as you have them in your life, as one day they will be gone.
And you wanna be able to look back at them in memory, and have that memory be a good one.
I'm proud of managing to civilly resolve a physical 'dispute' I had with a close friend. With some help from a few people here in the forums, of course.
Plus, if her husband were to find out, the consequences could be quite severe for me.
As in lawsuit, or other forms of retribution.
Though she was very attractive, the repercussions are not worth it.
Plus, if I did, and then I tried to end it, she might tell her husband, just to get revenge on me.
In other words: "If I go down, you go down with me."
I hope you told the husband of the cheating ......
Oh and tell your wife what happened because if it comes up later she might doubt you if you dont tell her anything about it
Comments
I know the feel bro... I know...
Congrats on resolving that. What wound up working?
