Dyslexia and Telltale games

Ive just started playing through the telltale games for the first time, and i am absolutely loving them,

What i have noticed is how in the newer games (for example borderlands especially), every conversation seems to get less and less time needed for me to respond. In some dialogue options I only have enough time to read and understand 1-2 of the options before the time runs out... On several occasions ive had to pause just to think whats even going on.

I understand how in some situations your response may need to be immediate and little thought to it, but it seems the newer ones try to do it for everything and it can be very hard to keep up, and i often make choices i dont want to.

What im asking for, is very simply, the ability to have an option to ask for more time to read/think, in situations where its not heavily important.

Cheers

  • This is a good point, and something I never considered before. The purpose it has in the game is to make you think quickly on your feet so the decision is "natural", but maybe in the future Telltale could implement a settings option where the timer is disabled, and you can get an indefinite period to choose, like in Bioware games. Maybe it takes out the immersion factor, but it's better to be accessible. Besides, if it's just a settings option, then you could almost just consider it their own version of "easy" mode.

It's something Telltale should definitely consider when making their future games.

  • I don't know how the new games are, but at least with The Walking Dead Season 2, the space bar is your friend ^_^

  • Why not just make it a option in the game settings, that way everyone is happy. A Few if then statements, a few infinite loops later. PRESTO
