Seeing that screenshot of Monkey Island 4 really makes me cringe :(

Its no secret that 2d is superior in anyway that matters for a game, just take the old games, they are almost timeless, and the areas how they are designed. but again sadly Telltale doesnt have the money for it, hopefully one day, they will grow big enough and we will see 2d or atleast very detailed 3d :)

    Someday :)

I know Lucas Arts doesnt have alot of talent left for Adventure games, but maybe if all goes well for both parties, they could join forces somehow, offering telltale more people and money, if ofc it all sells well enough. (dream)

While I definitely love the art style of TMI (and have no problem at all with it being 3D), I had to go with CMI. I love Bill Tiller's art style.

Where is the option to choose both? I think all the game's styles except Escape are great in their own right; I can't choose between them. Even the pixelated style of SMI looks magical and can be called a "style". I really LOVE CMI's art style, but I thought TMI was great for 3D; bright and cheery.

Actually I really disliked curse's art style. Great backgrounds. Characters were meh. As far as looks, my least favorite. I'd take the realistic close ups of MI1 over it.

I have to agree with this, at least as far as the bad character design goes. Elaine looked horrible in Curse. Backgrounds were brilliant though.

Due to the limited available options, I voted for "CMI style" but really, Monkey Island 2 had the best aesthetic style by far.

I would pay any price for a 2D version of the next Monkey Island!!!!!!!!
The best game ever created I have great memories with this game.....

Since they want the game to run on all systems, the graphics are pretty sub-par. But currently especially on PS3 and 360 3D graphics will always look superior and provide more absorbing and commercially appealing visuals. While Tell-Tale have not made it '3D' as they could have, it is a step in the right directions.

Now for a 3D monkey Island on PS3/360 graphics please...(Or a disc re-release with improved graphics and gameplay).

I can't make a selection; I think the graphics of characters in TMI are far superior to those of EMI. And even if there was an option for either, I still couldn't vote because I think the way everybody is represented in TMI is equally as good as in CMI.

I've played the beginning of A vampire Story which has the same background artist as Curse of Monkey island, but to be honest it's not that great. The main character has the most annoying voice ever and the characters don't look good either.

It's actually a really good game if you're prepared to wait around while the main lead learns how to do a French accent.

But anyway, back to the main point, so long as you ask Telltale to make a game, it's going to be in 3D. Monthly episodic games just wouldn't work because 2D takes so much time to draw everything up.
3D cell shading might work, but I don't think that's what was meant...
