Xbox 360 Wireless Controller and Sam and Max on the PC

Does anyone know how to get this to work. Windows has detected my Wireless Controller (using the USB dongle). However Sam and Max (Ice Station Santa) does not let me play the game using the controller

    W&GGA are the first Telltale games to support the Xbox controllers, AFAIR.
