Tales of monkey island for mac
Will there be a version for the mac?
I would buy the game if I could play it on a Mac
I know i could probably run it on Parallels Desktop but its a major pain in the arse
There has to be a simple way?
Cant they just wrap the program to run in Mac?
Surely it cant be that difficult?
And why do they release there games in chapters? Why not just release it as a full working game? Seems silly to me to have 4-5 chapters

Yes run the program in bootcamp :-)
If you don't like episodic gaming, GET OFF TELLTALES FORUMS!!! You can't change Telltales mission in the adventure gaming world. I for one, LOVE episodic gaming! Full adventure games can be very annoying and repetitive if not done right!
Anyway, as a Mac user, I'm all for a port, but,
As a TellTale fan, I realize that they don't have enough resources at their disposal to make a mac game, and besides, most mac users own a Wii, which TOMI will be for.
a) their machines mostly are simply pcs with a different firmware
b) that games mac are not too often ported to a mac.
There is a reason for b) it simply is that most mac owners simply can start windows from bootcamp if they do want to do some gaming (or use vmware) , which is caused by fact a)
and the market share of macs is too small and even smaller saleswise that it is viable to port games over. The problem on a mac is that gaming piracy is as high or higher than on the PC and this is deadly if you own around 10% marketshare. The effort simply is not worth it especially not anymore since Apple has switched to Intel. To make matters even worse for years apple has built in not gaming enabled graphics cards (aka Intel) graphics cards into their entry macs and only recently switch to something which can work with games (NVidia 9400m)
So if I had a small software development house would I consider a mac port. The market situation saleswise currently is split in equal terms between PS3, XBOX, WII, and Windows PCs and only the XBOX and the PC sharing a unified API while the Wii simply is easy to develop for although has limited hardware.
I personally would take the consoles especially the XBOX and the Wii into serious consideration but the mac mostly is as off limits as Linux, also with the background that Mac people simply can use other means to run the games! The PS3 due to its complicated nature probably also is off limits for a small development house, I guess! Especially if you have to run your own toolset!
