Examining your inventory - XBLA version

Is it just me or can Sam no longer "examine" items in his inventory in the XBLA version of Season 1?

On the PC and Wii versions if you open your inventory and click right mouse / press B, Sam will say a line or two about what you've selected... there doesn't seem to be a way to do this on Xbox. Is it gone?

    I noticed that too. Unless it's some button combination you need to do when selecting an item?
