Sam and Max won't work
I just downloaded Seasons 1 and 3 of S&M on steam from a sale on GreenManGaming, but I'm getting the dreaded Cannot Initialize Direct3D error and it won't load.
The thing is I have all the directX's up to date, I have a great video card that works on other games, including Walking Dead, I even installed the DirectX 9 but to no avail

Also Season 2, episode 1, of Sam and Max won't load at all. (This I have here from Telltale) I click on it and the file starts to load...then exits without any error message or anything. Episode 2 loads fine but not 1
Ok never mind s2. I rebought the game on steam an that version worked. But I'm still having the direct3d issue. Help!
Even if you have downloaded the latest version of Direct X available for your computer, please try installing and running the DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer to make sure Direct X is not missing any critical files or necessary updates, and you should then be able to start the game.
You can also try Verifying your Game Cache from within your Steam Client.
