Character Analysis: The Lone Wanderer

So from now on I'm going to do characters (mainly video game characters) who I believe have several layers of personality to them. On this one I'm going to give my thoughts on the main character of Fallout 3

The Lone Wanderer is a very difficult character to pin point considering his/her personality and actions are completely player determined. The Lone Wanderer stands different from the other protagonists in the Fallout series. The other protagonists are enigmatic and their back stories are bleak. With The Wanderer its not like that. We see him/her grow up and mold him/ her into the person he later becomes. The night his/her father leaves the Vault he has lived in his whole life in his/her life falls to shambles, many of the only few people he/she grew up with wanting to kill him/her as well as being forced out of his home away from his/her best friend and possible long time love. Wanderer is shown to a horrible hell known as the waste. Wanderer can either surrender or rise above the filth and danger. I think The Wanderer was horribly damaged as a result of the new environment and facing danger and constant threat leaving him/her scared and with PTSD as well as scarred mentally. Even The Wanderer at their worst shows that they're just uncomfortable with their new surroundings and trying to survive. I think in some of the dialogue options it shows they're suffering from anxiety, social and neurotic issues who tries to remain stoic and strong.
