Petition for a Telltale Art Book
So, how many of you would buy a Telltale art book?
Full of concept art, unused models, sketches, pretty much whatever. I was looking at that thread of Tales from the Borderlands concept art, and it looked great. It could have art from all games--The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, Game of Thrones, TFTB, etc., etc.
For Telltale staff: would you guys get into any copyright trouble? Is this even possible?
(P.S. not sure if this should go in the generic "Telltale should make ___", because it isn't a game.)

I'd love to see more Game of Thrones concept art.
Jurassic Park had some great dinosaur designs too. Love to see more.
I dont think I've ever even seen any Telltale GoT concept art at all .-.
here you go.
This is direly needed. I love the art style of TTG's concept artists and something like this would be great. I have the art book for The Last of Us and it's a really interesting look into the design process for the characters and environments, so I'd love to see as many iterations of TWDG, GOT and TFTBL characters as possible.
TTG, just give me all the concept art and I'll fuckin' make a book for free.
Also the only unused models I'm aware of are Luke w/ hat, Nick w/out hat, Nick w/ backwards hat and Carver's beta model. I've only seen the last one.
Yes, yes, yessss! Especially for The Walking Dead. I would buy it.
Pleeeease, TTG!
I would buy that in a heart beat.
I'd definitely buy it, but it's gotta be in hardcover. None of that paperback shit, they skimped on TWD S2 so they owe us to not skimp on some shiny hardback goodness.
Fuck paperback. I specially got my Hobbit book in hardcover. Hardcover is love, hardcover is life.
Anybody remember seeing this from S2?
It would be fantastic, and I'd love to see it, but I doubt that they'll be able to do it in a single artbook for all franchises. There would be a lot of legal wrangling to do, plus there would be the matter of setting it at a price that would be realistic for sale to fans, but still at a price point that would allow all parties to get a beneficial share of the cut.
They could produce art books on an individual basis though. They actually have done this in the past for some franchises. Telltale released Sam & Max sketchbooks (The Age of S&M and The Effigy Mound) with unreleased concept art (including some from games which weren't by Telltale, since Steve Purcell has the benefit of still owning the rights to his characters). They also released some concept art in the deluxe editions for Back to the Future: The Game and Jurassic Park: The Game and in art prints in their store.
Telltale doesn't produce and sell physical merchandise anymore outside of the bonus DVDs for The Walking Dead Season Two and The Wolf Among Us, but they were talking about the possibility of bringing it back when the new website design first went up. However, they don't even appear to be making bonus DVDs anymore (since the bonus DVDs have always been announced before the season started, and their current seasons don't have that perk), so it's possible that they've abandoned the idea to bring physical merchandise back to their store.
I'd definitely love to see it though, and would snap it up in a heartbeat. I still kick myself for missing out on the Sam & Max sketchbooks.
