Tales from the old Republic

I don't know about you guys, but I love star wars. I watch the six movie saga and the tv shows. I read the books as well, but not as much. I was thinking the other day as I was watching Star Wars clone wars the tv show and about to play Tales from the Borderlands, that what if they made a telltale game based on star wars. You could start as a jedi and the decisions you make change whether you are on the dark side or light side of the force and then it switches to one of the senators or a political leader and your planet or city you live in is under attack by death watch or a terrorist group and you have to decide how to handle it. I think the time line would be best suited for old republic(bby for those star wars geeks who know the time line) because the new republic and clone wars are often over done, but there is so much space before all of that stuff that could be expanded.

I just thought of those things the other day and I think it would be amazing to play and they would make a killing on it especially with this year being so big for Star Wars as is.

What do you all think?

  • Ever play Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic by any chance? Great game. Morality choices, group relationships, a pretty o.k. rpg combat system. It's kinda like what your talking about.

  • I have! It was fun, but I just love the feel of telltale and the suspense and script. I feel they could do it better but thanks for the response!! I appreciate it!

  • I also feel that Star Wars would make an excellent Telltale game if handled properly. Choice, primarily the choice between Light or Dark, is central to Star Wars and would translate well into Telltale's forumla. I've been hoping for news of them working on something Star Wars related for awhile now, even if realistically I realize that probably won't happen for at least a few more years if at all.
