Question about the preorder free game

Hi!

I preorderd tales of monkey island, and I would like to know how I choose / buy / select my free game? And what options I do have?

Thanks for your help!

You can go to the store and your choices include any game that costs $8.95. Go to purchase it like you would at any store but before you buy input the coupon code that should be emailed to you. The price will turn to $0.00.

As for your options for the coupon? It includes everything but the CSI game - which would mean you could buy an episode of Bone, Sam and Max Season One or Two, Strong Bad, Wallace and Gromit, the Telltale Texas Hold'em Game or you could hold onto it until a year passes which at that point it will expire.

If you go to the Sam and Max page, you actually download episode 104 "Abraham Lincoln Must Die" for free and try a whole episode out. If you don't like it - but I think you will - you could get a Sam and Max episode. I'd recommend playing Season One before Two. Two is better, but has many spoilers for One.

Sam and Max Season One is actually on a temporary sale for $20 for the whole season, so if you like 104 you might just want to buy the whole season and use the free episode on something like Strong Bad or Wallace and Gromit. I'm personally a fan of the Strong Bad IP and while I haven't played the game I hear it's pretty good. It's pure point and click, W&G is not if the lack of point and click bothers you. The controls are not bad and I like them but it disturbs some people who I disagree with. I haven't played enough of either to give a strong recommendation.

Oh, and yeah. If you get an episode, you can do a season upgrade to save some money if you find out you like it. Generally it would be a good idea to start off with a first episode in a series. Avoid the Sam and Max Season One upgrade, it's actually more expensive due to the sale at the moment by a dollar.
