Imo, overrated is something that is popular without a logical or a good reason in my eyes. Take Daryl for example. A reason I hate him because he is overrated, so popular for reasons that seem stupid to me.

Overrated ~ Anything that is given too much credit and hype.
Examples: The Kardashians. Daryl Dixon. Call of Duty.

Example of overrated is Skyrim, a full 5/5 review from every single fucking reviewer outlet. No game is that good and Skyrim is definitely not that good.

I don't think Shubba actually takes time out of his day to hate a character in a TV show. People tend to use hyperboles, Shubba probably doesn't hate Daryl but dislikes him. It's like telling your friend "I hate you!" when they did something you didn't like which actually means "I am not satisfied with you right now."
So, in short. Hyperboles.
I said a reason, not the whole reason. He's also a boring character with no development who is just there 90% of the time to treat the fangirls.
I typically condemn peoples' opinions when they use the term "overrated" without explanation, it's too loose a term for it to not be reinforced by some type of clarification. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But when it's baseless, it's a bit hard to take the opinion seriously.

I don't see how. It's just the fact that usually when something is popular, people also overpraise it. Kinda like The Last Of Us.
In short something that doesn't deserve all the attention it gets or how much it is forcibly shoved down our throats (best example: The Last of Us)

I actually want to rip my eyeballs out when people call Five Night's at Freddy's overrated. Like have you seen the lore for that shit? The lore is INCREDIBLY puzzled, interesting and hard to figure out.
The only thing that annoys me about its popularity is that basically the minecraft and furry fanbase moved it's way into the fandom and ruined it with their illogical theories, drawn on MS paint OC's, and furry porn. But that doesn't ruin what really is a great and mysterious game. Despite the jumpscare cliché, the game is original as fuck.

Hey now, a Jane fan is quite a rarity on these forums. She's been demonized as a bitter grotesque monster, so any fans that aren't fans of Kenny Dick 'N' Balls are ok in my opinion.

Really? I think the lore is overrated (please don't rip out your eyeballs). It's interesting and creative, you want to know what happened, when it happened, and how it happened, but it's not the greatest thing since sliced bread - Yes, it's a child murderer and spirits haunting Chucky Cheese's.
Honestly, as far as 'lore' goes, I prefer a complex world which is filled out and diverse, rather than something whose only appeal is its ambiguity.
Damn, now I want to go to Chuckie Cheese and play skeetball... Then get some pasta at Vinny T's next door... but they're both closed down... Bastards...
