Could their ever be 4d games?
Kinda like 4d movie theaters! 4d movie theaters actually puts you into the experience. Say somebody smells oil in the movie, then the theater's seats release oily smell. Say there are bubbles in the movie, Then the theater walls would release bubbles.Theres wind in the movie? Then the walls would release a light breeze. Same thing with rain. There are already movie theaters like this around the united states. But what if we could bring this concept to games! Like you would plug something into your computer then you place the gadget on the wall. Then you select which game your playing. Based on that game it will release smells and other stuff. Or maybe you could buy the gadget then developers and creators of a game could send the code for the gadget and you just type it in.
I think it would be awesome

Sounds like a neat consept for telltales game series and many other game series
I saw a 4d Spongebob movie clip once, at some aquarium/SeaWorld type place when I was younger. All I remember is someone sneezing and the audience got lightly sprayed with water, along with pickles being shown and the theater suddenly smelling like pickles. It wasn't really that thrilling.
but it is a consept that could be amazing for a company to create it would really bring the person into the experience even more then 3d ever could it could bring u into the games situation big time yeah sure its expensive but its a very good consept for video games
Yeah i heard of that ride i think but yeah i feel the 4d feature could bring you closer into the experience somewhat
I remember last year I went to a film festibable. I saw a horror movie that was in 4d-ish. It was awesome because they gave you rain coats and when ever somebody in the movie got murdered you would get sprayed with red fake blood
i feel with the walking dead game from telltale that consept would work good because everytime someone got shot or they took out a walker mucky blood would spray on ya for example or if it was snowing it would project that effect or if it was raining it would rain on ya this consept is a good consept
I actually saw a 4D Shrek thingy in some amusement park.
Onion smell & ogre whispers in your ear = immersive experience
4D = 3D with water sprayed at you, wind & moving seats
I don't really know if it's worth the time and effort, and if it's beneficial.
There have been attempts to get sensory immersive products in the home marketplace, but they haven't done well. There was a product called iSmell that would have let a program send out a signal through USB to release a combination of oils to replicate 128 primary odors, with the possibility of thousands more. It never left the prototype stage.
No one has ever tried anything that programmable since then. There is the Olly smelly robot, but it only releases scents that you've loaded into the cartridge when a command is sent to it, so you'd have to manually load the scent you wanted for whatever game you played (although it is stackable, so there can be different scents for different events).
They already are 4d. Time is the fourth dimension.
