i get what you mean since there is no early access bullshit there but come on did you forget bf4 and sim city? and i'm sure there are more those two are just the first that come to mind origin isn't 100% innocent
Valve is shit too though, they refuse to give refunds on Steam despite the fact that their main competitors do and unlike GoG.com and Origin… more they sell games that completely broken and just plain don't work which is a shitty thing to do when you don't do refunds, GamersGate sells broken games too but they do refunds so you can get your money back if it doesn't work, plus despite this stupidity they still have the gill to sell games that are in alpha which is again a dick move when you don't do refunds and don't help with customer service (Unlike GoG and Origin).
I mean they are so bad that I'm saying that EA's Origin is better because it is, Steam is still better than U-Play though but that's not saying much.
That is EA, not the Origin platform, sure they are sold there but overall there's a lot less bullshit than with Steam, to be honest though it's increasingly evident that GOG is simply the better option right now, sadly due to their anti-DRM policies there are a lot of great games that you can't purchase there so I guess in the end nobody wins.

That's pretty much right on the money, I was just playing Arkham City and after a sidequest that ends in a cliffhanger (Basically to be continued in Arkham Knight) I thought "Damn now I have to get Arkham Knight, eh... I'll get it after there's a GOTY version and it's on sales" which is also what I did with City, I'm pretty sure there are lots of people that don't but if there are a lot of people like me that aren't willing pay 60$ for such a large and high quality title such as Arkham City this could very much be what causes them trouble later down the line, specially since one of the reasons I got the Arkham City GOTY was because it included even the retailer exclusive DLC, which BTW is a huge turn off, nothing makes me not want a game as knowing that there is some thing that I just can't get, even if it's just a stupid costume (Though I do love playing with the Cartoon costumes, I wish the whole game looked like that... Hey they are the ones that gave them the same voice cast).
i think an additional reason AAA games are gonna start to feel a pushback from consumers is because buying games day one is basically throwi… moreng your money away (AAA companies rely on day one sales) ie. batman, no matter where you pre order it you don't get all of the preorder bonuses, and if you want the whole game you will have to pay even more for every bit of DLC, whereas waiting for the GOTY you get everything and it is cheaper.
