Game of Thrones Black Screen with Cursor

I need some help with the Game of Thrones game. The game initially loads fine, but after I press "Click to Begin" the screen goes black and I only see a white cursor. I have never had this problem with the first 3 episodes. I did not purchase this through Steam, have tried pressing "Alt + Enter" to run it in a window, and downloaded the latest version of DirectX End-User Runtime (these are all things I saw suggested when this issue was previously brought up). I'd love to play episode 4 and hope this problem can be solved. Thank you.

    I have the same problem with the game downloaded on PC.

    We have made a server side fix for this issue on PC/Mac. Please close/exit out of the game completely, then also make sure that you have downloaded and installed the latest Updated Critical PC/Mac Patch available for the game. After it has been installed, then start the game again, and you should be able to start the game successfully, and download the new episode and play the game.
