Pre-order pack... Can you activate it on Steam with serial code?

I want to buy the pre-order pack... But I also want to have my games available on Steam. Is this possible or would I have to buy it twice?

    You want it on your steam list? You can just add a non-steam game.

    However; there's nothing on the "upcoming" section of steam on Monkey Island... so not much luck there (yet).

    I'm certain it will become available on Steam today. It sucks that I'd have to pay twice to have it linked to my Steam account, and also get the pre-order DVD artwork... Can anyone from Telltale Games confirm this?

    It is not being distributed on Steam.

    Considering there's nothing on Steam or Telltale's site and it's nearing release hour, I'm pretty damn certain that the game is not getting a simultaneous Steam/Telltale release.

    And yeah. Telltale has not released the DVD to anybody but those who buy directly from them for all of their games. No DVD for Wiiware on Strong Bad, no DVD for XBLA for Wallace and Gromit, no DVD for Steam with Sam and Max.

    Remember Telltale put Sam and Max up a month or so after release on Steam.

    I would prefer it on Steam because Valvue is known for games being avalible on Steam till the end of time. But if Telltale should ever vanish those who did not buy the download / physical copy are SOL.

    10 LucasArts games are being released on Steam in just over 24 hours. There is no news about them "Coming soon" on Steam either. I know that Tales of Monkey Island will be on Steam too, but I really wanted the best of both worlds, the preorder DVD and my games available indefinitely on Steam.

    ...I honestly have my doubts that Steam will exist "until the end of time". I don't think it's somehow magically incapable of financial failure. In the case of a Telltale collapse, I have a DVD with awesome special features that remains as my physical back-up. Considering these are adventure games, it's not like an action game, platformer, or multiplayer title. I don't generally re-play them until a good bit later. I haven't re-played Sam and Max since I finished the two seasons the first time(and a go-over for the episodes that I missed too much of the "did you try" lists to ignore). I doubt I'm going to pick it up on a whim like Crayon Physics or Civilization IV.

    Tales will probably be available on Steam, at some other point. The thing is, they won't give you a pre-order DVD for it or any other bonuses. Telltale has never given those to the people that have used Steam.

    Ah well, just pre-ordered now just in case... Maybe I can convince the people at telltale games to give us an option to add games we have bought here onto our Steam account's easily...

    He's right! Every time I've been to the end of time, Steam is still there, with all games available.

    Hopefully you still get the pre-order slipcover, from my understanding the last day to pre-order was yesterday.

    From my understanding, you can pre-order up to the moment the first game comes out.

    Also, if they get the e-mail with the coupon code for a free episode, they're good on the pre-order.

    If anyone from Telltale is reading this, please make it so.

    I would love to be able to link my games to STEAM, obviously, it all depends how much VALVE want to charge you for the privilage ;)

    Should be pointed out that tales is indeed on steam as of right now.

    I pre-ordered here, but steam is where i usually buy my pc games. I made an exception because hey, it's the triumphant return of monkey island. I really hope we can activate this on steam otherwise i'm likely to buy again one day. That makes me a sad monkey...

    Even more annoying that TTG kept sooo quiet about a STEAM release too :(

    I would happily pay £10 to be allowed to activate my Serial number on STEAM.

    Why would they keep quiet about steam? they're still getting sales that way. I think they lost part of their trustworthiness today.

    Yep.

    It all seemed a little too conceited for my liking.

    Many people asked on the forums about a STEAM release and NOTHING official was said, they could have said something as it would have taken planning to get it on the STEAM platform.

    The only way I see them redeeming themselves is allowing us to use serial numbers through STEAM but that will cost them money so I doubt it.

    Shame on you Telltale :(

    Yea, I'm really disapointed in this big time. If I could use my number to activate the game on steam then that would make me happy.

    Also, is anyone else upset that its episodic format without episodic pricing? No arguing that the 35 bucks is a good deal, but where are the 10 dollar single episodes? I feel like they may be scaring off people unfamiliar with the franchise asking them for that commitment.

    If Telltale operate has they have done in the past people will be able to buy single episodes from around the time of the release of the 2nd episode.
