What are your thoughts on memes?
Okay, this is actually a serious question. As someone who frequents a handful of chat rooms, RPs and Tumblr, I actually don't know how I feel about them. Actually, I do -- I hate them. And I actually think that a lot of people hate them as well. But I'm curious, what are your input on memes?
Hate 'em, love 'em, think they're the plague of the universe?

Well 1 thing that makes me glad that memes exist are i heard they are what ytps were at 1st so they started ytps on youtube since they were the 1st source material so i feel a positive light on memes somewhat for just that reason alone if memes never existed then youtube poops might of never existed since thats what started youtube poops
Some of them are hilarious.
Some of them are so unfunny that it makes me cringe.
I think that memes are OK if they are used in moderation, and add to a discussion when it fits. However, when they replace discussion, get shoehorned in, etc, it's kind of annoying. I'm not against them, but I wish people used them a lot less and stopped running them into the ground.
I love memes, I think they bring a lot of discussions more life. Though when it's supposed to be serious they feel much out of place and I find it childish to use memes/gifs in debates or things of that nature.
So all in all, it's situational when they can be dank/notdank.
This is a refreshing perspective, thank you.
I love memes and gifs personally I hate walls of text I think it adds a bit more life to your post
I use them to reinforce my points or as a visual aid to help get my message across as text is lifeless so it really helps get your message across as to what you are feeling or thinking about on an issue in your post
Dank.
You took the words out of my fucking mouth.
Cancer.
In a good way.
