Who's completed Chapter 1 then?

And how long did it take you?

I did add it into Steam as a non-Steam game (as I'd pre-ordered it) so I could see how many hours it'll take me, but forgot that it doesn't show up for non-Steam games!

Took me roughly 4 hours to complete. And about 25 minutes of that time was spent figuring out puzzles, or being "stuck".

4 hours or so. Didn't clock it, but I did a speed run after that took almost 2 and I'm pretty sure the first try was more than twice that.

Right Frog. It came out what, 4 hours ago?

Took me about 3 hours to do. I'm discarding the time when I ate lunch for like 30min. The game was running, but I was hungry.

I got it last Friday (reviewable).

Just completed it, took for me three to four hours. Can't wait for the next one!
  • edited July 2009
Yeah, bout 4 hours. Got stuck on 2 or 3 puzzles for a good half hour combined I'd say.
  • edited July 2009
3 hours for me. I got stuck on a few, but I forgot to turn off hints completely so some were kinda solved.

    Turning em off next time.

Took me about 3h45, took ages figuring out
    how to light the cannonball.

Same here PickledJesus! Hahah. Was annoying.

    Such a great game.

    3-4hours I believe, didn't really clock it.

I did spend a good 30minutes or so helping other people while being stuck on a puzzle.

Something about 4 and half hour. Most of it I've been wondering about calendar and the cheese :). Just can't wait for Chapter 2!

After ca. 4 hours of gaming (from 1:00am to 5:00am) I did finish the chapter...but I spent ca. 30min on being stuck on
the ancient door and the Idol puzzle (didn´t know that the Weathervane must be used...)

Can´t wait to play the 2nd chapter :D

It took me 3 hours, I was expecting it to be shorter! I can't wait for part 2

I guess it took me about 4 hours? Seems about right... cause I think I got it installed about four hours ago...

    I got stuck on
the treasure hunt puzzle, because I kept following the map without using it on the well first, and the idol puzzle, because I kept trying to see the wind god faces on the weather vane by examining it, rather than using it on the idols. It felt like ages before I figured those out
    .

I finished it that moment. It was great.
Speciali the music was suprising good. I thought it would be more trompets in it (like the Sam & Mas series). Loved the graphics and the story.
First i was a bit frustrated about the mouse controlling, but after a while i startet to use the keyboard and it worked very well.
Loved it! And after that ending I can´t wait to play the next episode. Harrharr...

4 hours, not stuck on any puzzle.

About 4 hours for me, enjoyed every second =D

Also about 4 hours. I'm confused on the hints setting though because I thought I had it turned all the way down but it kept giving me really obvious hints on a few of the puzzles. It's not very clear whether the hints are all the way off or all the way up.

Hey. Just finished the 1. chapter in roughly 3 hours. I love the game but can't believe I now have to wait for at least a month to play the next chapter.

    Skarnet.

I did it so fast i moved back in time!

around 4 hours of playtime maybe. I been playing Fallout 3 a LOT more then that, I normally clock in 6 hours on Fallout 3 every day. I has no life. :(

5 hours I figured out all the idol puzzles without using the weather vain not bragging just saying in retrospect if I knew I could have used the weather vain I would have in an instant I did however examine the weather vain a couple times then just gave up on that

4 hours for me xD i got stuck slightly a few times because i missed the toy sword on the ground and i didnt realise i could click the clothes line... other then that it wasnt that hard to figure out the rest xD
  • edited July 2009
Didn't time it but I'd say around 5 hours or so. A couple of puzzles kept me thinking for a while, which is good. On the whole a very enjoyable experience. I'll play it again just before Chapter 2 comes out.

I got stuck when I had to start the X-Wing engines. Hey, wait a moment...
  • edited July 2009
Well I played it in three sessions, that would total about 5 hours of gameplay. Difficulty was ok was just right for me, since I didnt need any hints to complete so it was very satisfying expirience to solve all those puzzles :)

    Go Go Porcelain Power Pirates!

Took me about 2 hours. I got a little stuck on the bomb thing.

About 4 hours for me too, all in one game session. It was too good :D
  • edited July 2009
4 hours in 2 sessions of 2 hours.
  • edited July 2009
It took me about 4-5 hours, I can't really tell. I got stuck in between some puzzles not knowing what to do next or what to look for, after that it was a pretty smooth ride through.
  • edited July 2009
Like 6 hours it took me i was like up in the early hours though i couldn't really focus i was up till 3 playing.
  • edited July 2009
Took me much longer, I guess. But then, I tried everything several times, to find out if there are hidden jokes...
  • edited July 2009
Three hours here. Got stuck once because I didn't figure that something I did earlier would do something else the second time I did it. Apart from that, really fun, the whole thing :)
  • edited July 2009
Just finished. Some puzzles were good. :) Worthy of the time spent.
  • edited July 2009
about 5 - 6 hours, and i enjoyed every single minute of it!
played untill 5 am last night and a couple of hours when i woke up :P
  • edited July 2009
About 3-4 hours or so. Hints on as low as I could get them.
  • edited July 2009
Downloaded at 10am, and finished at 3pm.
Some bits did confuse me, but eventually caught on. Boy am I slow.
  • edited July 2009
I'd say 4-5 hours although I didn't time it. I didn't get stumped at all (and didn't use any hints), and I took my time and explored all dialogue options, etc.
It seemed like a good length for an episode, and I was glad we got to do a little more after getting off of Flotsam.

The toy sword on the ground definitely got me stuck the longest. I probably wandered around for at least an hour or two before I finally noticed it. But I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of gameplay in this chapter. If all of the chapters are that long, the entire experience will probably be much longer than the other MI games.

It took me several hours too, like 5 or so. Played Lotro in between and went biking around town to get some fresh air as well in the middle.

I can't really believe that some people only needed 2 hours to complete it, they must have lost track of time there (and if they insist that it really was 2 hours, I still wont believe it, they are deceiving us or themselves then).

I took my time playing, enjoying the beautiful graphics, trying to get some fun responses from the chracters by showing them everything I have and trying to do all the wrong things first before coming up with the sometimes a bit too obvious solutions...

but, all in all, great game, great jokes, great graphics, great animations (Guybrush's evil hand slapping him and yanking on his hair, anyone?).

    Extremely well done, Telltale!
