Thoughts on that Brainwreck
After several playthroughs and exploring every possible path within the game, besides watching countless reviews and discussions here, I commited myself to think thourougly about the game and the plot envolving the narissa/faith's character:
In my opinion, the most logical turn of events would be the Faith at the beggining to be the real one and Nerissa through out the game to be just Faith glamoured: (Ill make an attempt to be as coherent and cronological as possible)
Plot:
- Faith finds incriminating evidence on Crane which jeopardizes the Crooked man.
- She, Narissa and Lily set up the escape plan.
- Narissa chickens out and talks to Georgie.
- In the meantime, they were all covering eachother shifts without Georgie knowing entirely which makes him kill Lily disguised as Snow and Narissa disguised as Faith (her cry for help back fired on her).
- Faith (disguised as Narissa) needed to mantain the glamour after she was aware of what happened.
Start of Episode 1
- Faith unglamours herself and goes to stir the pot with Woody deliberatly to get Bigby's attention.
- She then glamours herself again as Narissa (who is dead at this point and glamoured as Faith).
- Plants the head.
Events leading to the ending - She reveals to Bigby Narissa as being the guilty for the death of Lily and "Faith" (which would make no sense if she was the real Narissa and daam this girl is smart).
- The 1st point makes sense after she reveals herself as Faith all along after using the same quotes deliberatly for Bigby to realize.
Points to consider:
- We can all agree the first character and the last are the same one
First Encounter:
- Woody was Lily s regular which means either Faith or Nerissa can either not know him or deliberatly start trouble so Bigby would come (they know eachother for centuries so I guess it was probably well known how drunk/violent/past-tormented Woody was+his history with Bigby)
- It seemed rushed to me the appointment with Bigby and led me to think it was pre planned as the female character sets the stage (says to meet at home...)
Interesting topics (if you come up with more pls do post):
- Faith's head gives no results which means Swineheart is involved in the scam. Not really, we have witnessed how glamours stop working when the spell is broken by using the trinket so by all we know Faith could be keeping it secure so "her" head mantained disguised.
- She does not smoke Huff and Puff in the middle of the game. Well, she could be either just wanting one more badly at the end or actually not smoke it in the middle to stay in character as Narissa and so Bigby would not suspect it was Faith (if we assume she is smoking Huff and Puff in the first scene which is unclear).
- Faith would know how to dance. This could go either way, we can debate Narissa would dance better since thats what she does and Faith is not a dancer or that Narissa would not be able to dance properly since she is not used to feet (i find this unlikely since centuries have passed and she would know how to do a fish dance).
- The broken lock of the jewelry box. IMO, for all we know Georgie or another call girl could have busted the lock after the ring s removal (by Faith as herself or disguised as Narissa using her key) to check for values after knowing the girl was dead.
- The mirror indicates she cannot find Faith and the "lips are sealed" line indicates she is still wearing the ribbon, which was removed if infact she was the girl on the stairs. This not only means she is alive but that the spell is active at that point. The mirror can clearly show dead people too (her father).
- Her tale is an almost parallel of TWAU... Crooked man as the father and Pooding Pie as the kingdom.
- Regarding her husband she needed to leave him after realizing she could not unglamour herself any longer after her alledged death. Her leaving was the only way to not only protect Lawrence but actually survive.
- She did not unglamour herself at the end because it would be way too risky to live as Faith after the Entire community knows she is "Dead".
- Illegal glamours do not sound that expensive considering how the witches at the Butchers Shop supplied the entire community with reagents, as seen in the chalkboard, and we know for sure it was a habit for the friends to glamour themselves to cover shifts so Faith could reasonably afford the 2 she would need for this plot (considering you cannot re-use after broken even if it is of the same person).
If Faith was Narissa at the beggining and was real for the rest of the game I just cant understand:
1st: Mirror not finding Faith.
2st: Her claiming guilty at the end with no gain in it.
I bet at this hour I am missing many topics I have realized over time so go ahead if you wish! Sorry for the long post!

I usually try to stay out of these discussions, but it's Nerissa, not Narissa xD
As for the ending, people have agreed to just supports the theory they feel is right and not try to to prove anything, since it's impossible to prove anything. Telltale did an amazing job hiding everything and leaving only those details which can be applied to both theories. All your points are valid, but they don't prove anything, unfortunately. I personally think it was Nerissa and not Faith who did it all.
I don't think that Faith was Nerissa. As much as everyone liked Faith, she's dead. I wish she were alive, but if she were, we wouldn't have a game. Additionally, how would Faith have had the money to get a completely accurate glamour of Nerissa that would last, if she or Lawrence didn't even have enough money to pay their rent, which is why she became a dancer.
