I agree it looks amazing wish it came out on Xbox One, though lol.
well I wished Rise of the Tomb Raider came out on Ps4 I wish they would just share the love to all gamers I'm not a fan of the idea of exclusives even tho some of the best games I played were heavy rain, Uncharted, tlou etc :'/
Yeah people should be able to enjoy Halo, The Last of Us, etc. on every previous and current generation console IMO.
This game is gonna be fucking awesome.

I'm really excited for the game. I just think my first playtrough will end up with everyone getting killed xd
I just checked out some gameplay and it looks insanely cool. The only thing I can't stand is the dialogue, it's BAD. Like Really fucking awful. I get that it's intentional to make fun of B grade horror films, but I feel like the Dev's tried way too hard to be cheesy with the writing. Hopefully It's something I can grow used too because outside of the writing the game looks rad as hell.
I can't wait! I rarely pre-order games. I usually watch theRadBrad on Youtube before I buy certain games, but I definitely pre-ordered Until Dawn.
This is one of those times where I really wish I had a PS4 because this game looks so goddamn great.
Managed to get a copy of this early from a friend. Playing it soon.
This is one of those times when I really wish I had a PS4... ;A;
Damn, now I wish I hadn't sold my PS4...:-/
I think tomb raider is coming to ps4 its just going to be later than on xbox
Until dawn Butterfly Effect | Trailer enter link description here
Nah i am more into fallout 4, never heard of this game.
Wow, thanks for posting this trailer, way more excited now.
your welcome
Looking forward to this and I've pre-ordered it. I'm unsure as to how/where that bonus chapter/scene will fit in, however. Guess I'll have to wait and see.
Anyhow, it seems like it's one of the few games that will have choices that matter in terms of branching. So, hopefully it delivers, though I'm unsure I believe the 'hundreds of endings' talk and such. Certainly when it comes to different endings and not just slightly different permutations with a character present and one not.
One thing I am curious about though is how the butterfly effect menu interface works. I've found some brief footage of it, but not enough to really see how it works.
(Btw, hopefully people are aware the game saves automatically constantly and there's only one save with no rewind. Or well, I believe there is a rewind, but it's only unlocked once you reach one of the endings. It's kind of a neat design decision, forcing you to live with the choices as anyone can die or all can live)
(Posting this here instead of review thread because of spoilers)
Really enjoyed this game! Everyone lived for me except for Matt (so unfortunately the one black guy was the only person to die...well I guess it is based off B horror movies :P)
My criticisms are:
There's way too much Mike in the first half of the game - excluding episode 1, you play as him for about 50% of the time in the first half, which is a bit silly when there are 8 protagonists.
A much bigger criticism is that I'm not sure I really liked the supernatural stuff...at all. I would have much rather had a game where it's an actual Psycho trying to kill them, than one with mythical beasts and magic mountains.
Small one, but I feel they could have used music more. The intro music was very effective, but we never got anything like that again.
Lastly, I think it's a shame that they stopped having the psychological questions after chapter 5 or so, they added a lot and were fun. They also should have had more of an effect on the Psycho's schemes - if Josh finds Spiders scary, then he'd probably be more likely to use them to creep out others. Same with Drowning, etc.
Eh, the supernatural/demons scare me, killers don't. There are killers everywhere.
That's because they're realistic :P A realistic, theoretically possible villain is far more scary to me than one which could never harm me in real life, just because it helps me associate more with the characters and the universe.
Really wish I could get the game myself, but unfortunately for the time being (and likely indefinitely, since I'll have the entire game spoiled for me) I'll have to resort to watching it on youtube. Currently watching 3 different youtubers play it for a couple different butterflies.
For you Matt fell off a cliff or impaled on hooks?
I got lucky, so he survived.
I lack a PS4 but I'm watching a playthrough. The game takes QUITE a while to kick into gear but once it does HOLY SHIT it's intense. I haven't seen the whole game yet (The person I'm watching is on Chapter 6), but man does it look intense considering that if you fuck up a QTE a character could just drop dead. I'm curious though. Without spoiling the game, Is it really possible to save every single character? (excluding the prologue character)
Yes it is possible (i won't say how) to save every one of the eight main characters. Some are VERY hard to save but one or two can be saved by just one choice
Really awesome game. You can actually save all 8 main characters if you're good. And the choices do in the end matter. Also it has really good twists.
Who are your favorite characters? for me it's Chris because he's funny and I think quite handsome,Sam because she's compassionate and caring, and Matt because he's nice which is unlike the jock stereotype.
I like Chris as well.
btw, who's Max?
I like Matt, Ashley, Sam, and Chris. Jessica, Mike and Emily can all die in a fire for all I care. Josh is just there I guess.
I liked Chris, Sam, Matt, Ashley, and Josh. I didn't like Mike at first, but he became more tolerable overtime. I strongly despised Jessica and Emily.
What ending did you get?
For me, the only survivors were Chris, Sam, and Matt (Josh became a wendigo).
Whoops... I mean Sam.
Does anyone know what happens if you decide to save Josh over Ashley in the saw torture scene? I'm trying to find a video on it but no luck
I found this video: enter link description here
Apparently Josh dies even if you choose to save him.
"dies"
his "body" was a dummy.
The sisters in the prologue can't be saved, but all the other characters can be alive at the end, well, kind of...
Sam
I like Sam, Mike, and Ash.
He got impaled on a hook, I kept the flare gun when I was playing as Emily and tried to save her
