Can you copy season 1 PC saves to android?

Now before you think I am crazy, this is completely possible with season 2. I can move the saves for that back and forth, continuing my game where I left off no matter the platform. Something I find very useful.

Is a similar thing possible with season 1? I tried just coping the saves to the relevant folder (my tablet is rooted) but the game did not recognise them.

Am I missing a step or is it simply not possible?

    I was beginning to suspect as much as I've tried everything I can think of but was hoping that there was something I'd missed.

    Still at least it is an option for season 2.
