  • Do they actually use fan input on other episodes? I'm genuinely curious about that. Yeah, the part about the jobs thing kind of sucks, but that's just how the video game production cycles work. That's also a reason why we're seeing a lot of titles coming up on like their 18th iteration or whatever (cough final fantasy), the teams don't want to leave their project because if they do they're out in the cold, so they just keep doing the same game over and over haha. That's definitely something the industry needs to figure out....

Maybe they're not "behind schedule", but having 4 month pauses between episodes sort of kills any flow in the game.

The second Episode usually takes longer because Telltale listens to fan input and might make slight changes to the story. And if they do tha

  • I agree to a certain extent. The episodic releases have the disadvantages of skewed waiting times and more pressure on developers, but it also allows them to modify future game elements based on our feedback. This has helped produce great games overall thus far, so I believe it is worth the wait.

One thing I don't really understand is why TT doesn't produce the episodes before releasing the game. For every single game they get months

  • Agreed. I love Telltale but giving a time frame for a product and then not meeting it or communicating why is just bad business. They really need to change it up because it will cause them to gradually lose customers, a little communication goes a long way.

After a certain point (coming up on 12 weeks now) the silence isn't cute or hyping us up, it's just annoying and disrespectful.

  • If it was coming out on the 27th, wouldn't we have some ratings by now?

I can't believe I am saying this to Ramsay. Please hang in there, don't let the wait destroy you. Endure it and survive!

  • The trophies were already there for Xbox, but maybe some news are coming.
While waiting, maybe we can imagine what the trophies implie ?
Ours is the fury : Undoubtely something tied with revenge, so with Rodrik/Asher. A retalation maybe ? If we can kill Harys, it would be awesome.
Our Blades are sharp : The motto of house Bolton. Last appearance of Ramsay ?
Growing Strong : I think we're gonna see the army of the Forrester, with the Pit fighters and the regular men.
Hear me Roar : Mira will certainly meet Cersei and be killed or convince Cersei to kill Andros.
Fire and Blood : SACK OF HIGHPOINT !! Death of Gryff or Ludd.
Winter is Coming : Gared finds the North Grove, maybe fights a White Walker.
Iron from Ice : epilogue, last stand of the Forrester against the Bolton, maybe the Forrester are saved at the last minute by the North Grove.

  • Wait on, wait on, SerMarve the Brave, Old Mods be one with you. Some dude, some guy, a hero's grave. So iron grows anew. Still iron grows anew!

I believe they do use input from fans, but not things that would change the entire story.

Also, it's not been 3 months since Episode 5 released, and Episode 2 released after only 2 months. I know TFTB had really long waits for most Episodes, but the quality is very high as a result (not saying GOT's isn't btw). I believe this is the first time we actually waited more than two months for a GOT Episode: Episode 1 was released in early December, Episode 2 in early Febuary, Episode 3 in late March, Episode 4 in late May, Episode 5 in late July and Episode 6 most likely in late October/after three months.

  • First of all, who's Harys? That whitehill "mountain" thug?
I also had the same thoughts about the trophies, they implie what's gonna happen' in the ingame chapters, but i did not gone deep on the especulations before,

I think you figured out really close how the episode will be! I just dont think that HighPoint will be sacked or even sieged, i think the battle will be on neutral soil or in the "disputed" lands of the Forrester and for me the "Fire and Blood" throphy will show some literal blood and fire, maybe even with Ludd putting Ironrath into flames. I believe you figured out right or really close on everything else...

Nice way to occupy ourselves while wating game releases. ; )

  • you're absolutely right! i feel that if they can't stick to the timeline (they give THEMSELVES btw), maybe they should reconsider the length of said timeline. it's quite easy for them to lengthen the projected finish-time offered to us. instead of 5-8 weeks between episodes, they should probably promise 8-14 weeks between episodes. i personally wouldn't have purchased any of their games (and i've played TWD, TFTBL, & TWAU) had i known they wouldn't stay true to their word.

my biggest issue with telltale has always been the lack of communication and respect for their customers -- LOYAL customers. we aren't 5yr. olds you can dangle a treat in front of to distract us from your lies (at least i'm not). shoot from the hip and man-up when you're at fault. i'm sure we'd all be a little less aggravated if we weren't waiting around for a game -that at the LATEST- we should've been playing 4 weeks ago.

re-word your promise times, or release the games on time. simple.

EDIT: as my good friend down below (shellturtleguy) mentioned to obviously feel important, "promise" might not have been the right word, so let me rephrase: re-word the PROJECTED time frame of your game releases, put them out within the current PROJECTED time frame, or don't give a PROJECTED time frame to begin with.
