Do they actually use fan input on other episodes? I'm genuinely curious about that. Yeah, the part about the jobs thing kind of sucks, but that's just how the video game production cycles work. That's also a reason why we're seeing a lot of titles coming up on like their 18th iteration or whatever (cough final fantasy), the teams don't want to leave their project because if they do they're out in the cold, so they just keep doing the same game over and over haha. That's definitely something the industry needs to figure out....

The second Episode usually takes longer because Telltale listens to fan input and might make slight changes to the story. And if they do tha… moret, it wouldn't make sense to already have the other Episodes finished, what if some changes made to Episode 2 affect those?
Also, if they wrapped it up in maybe half a year or so, then the team would most likely be out of a job for the rest of the year. This way, they can listen to people's input, and their employees can always work on something and don't have to look for other jobs (note that I have no idea how Telltale handles that sort of thing so maybe I'm wrong, that just seems like some reasons - there are probably more).
Also, the games aren't behind schedule, because there is no schedule. The FAQ has been disregarded a long time ago, the 6 weeks thing has been invalid for years.
I agree to a certain extent. The episodic releases have the disadvantages of skewed waiting times and more pressure on developers, but it also allows them to modify future game elements based on our feedback. This has helped produce great games overall thus far, so I believe it is worth the wait.
One thing I don't really understand is why TT doesn't produce the episodes before releasing the game. For every single game they get months … morebehind schedule, so why not completely finish the game and then release the episodes on schedule? Or at least complete the first three episodes or something. It seems like a real lack of foresight on Telltales part.

I personally think that the rants about the wait are justified. To promise episodes every 5-8 weeks and only hitting the 8 week mark half th… moree time is rediculous. Especially since the current hiatus is taking longer than I can recall any Telltale episode. Not only is it unfair to the fans, but it's just bad business. The episodic release dates already promise enough suspense to hold interest, and the longer the wait, the more people who are going to drop Telltale all together.
Now don't get me wrong. Telltale is an amazing game industry, and offers a refreshing story based gaming experience, but it isn't without its kinks. I just hope they can stick to an October release date, personally.

Also, it's not been 3 months since Episode 5 released, and Episode 2 released after only 2 months. I know TFTB had really long waits for most Episodes, but the quality is very high as a result (not saying GOT's isn't btw). I believe this is the first time we actually waited more than two months for a GOT Episode: Episode 1 was released in early December, Episode 2 in early Febuary, Episode 3 in late March, Episode 4 in late May, Episode 5 in late July and Episode 6 most likely in late October/after three months.

I just dont think that HighPoint will be sacked or even sieged, i think the battle will be on neutral soil or in the "disputed" lands of the Forrester and for me the "Fire and Blood" throphy will show some literal blood and fire, maybe even with Ludd putting Ironrath into flames. I believe you figured out right or really close on everything else...

Well for a lack of better words that's sort of their gimmick haha. Their whole idea is to make it episodic like a TV show. I would just sugg… moreest they at least finish half of the season or so so they don't have to constantly be working from behind. I figure they don't do that because with the release schedule as is they get money as they're still producing episodes, which is nice but still... It would take some of the frustration away from the community and I'm sure it would take a whole lot of pressure off of the staff at telltale as well.

my biggest issue with telltale has always been the lack of communication and respect for their customers -- LOYAL customers. we aren't 5yr. olds you can dangle a treat in front of to distract us from your lies (at least i'm not). shoot from the hip and man-up when you're at fault. i'm sure we'd all be a little less aggravated if we weren't waiting around for a game -that at the LATEST- we should've been playing 4 weeks ago.
