Sure it's too short if you're not used to playing telltales Episode based games. I actually thought it would be over soon a while before it actually was. So, nice surprise :-)
However i enjoyed every bit of dialogue, therefore it took some more time than just rushing through it.

Yeah it was very fun indeed, really hope some of the items if not all that was left carry over to next episode.

one really annoying thing is some of the voices, and the music isnt all that good, i really like the theme tho and the music with the voodoo lady :)

Its also quite nice that you walk alot more, it isnt like in the other games where alot of teleporting here and there, it really adds to the game.

damn your right, three words :D

but i didn't rush trough the game i read every dialog that i could encounter :D but as i have played many adventure games (sam&max hit the road, the new two episodes, manic mansion, day of the tentacle, indiana jones 3&4, monkey island 1,2,3&4 jack keane, zac mckracken + fan sequel, and many more) i can say for myself that it's not that hard :) but indeed very very funny and enjoyable!

Me too. I was positively surprised, that the Voodoo Music was pretty much the same as in early MI. But then again, it was Michael Land and in cooperation with Lucasarts. So why not. It adds some sense of continuity.

I think i know why it seemed so short... lemme explain

I was slightly disappointed that the episodes storyline ended where it did, I never expected him to
get back Elaine in the first episode, or take down LeChuck.
BUT, was lead to believe that the episode would end with
    him curing his hand!
 Because of this misplaced assumption I got from talking to the voodoo lady, the game felt uncomfortably short because it did not reach its expected end. (all that useless info!)

The episodes short feeling was also fueled by the gaping need for a third act somewhere in it. But I only counted 2 major acts,
the 3 pirate crimes, and the the wind changing act.
(plus the intro, and unusually short ending act) Most of the telltale adventures have about 5 parts to them, (three middle, plus an ending and intro act) and I feel that the story needed just one more twist before the end we saw and it would have been satisfying. (Even though the actual number of puzzles-per-episode was on par with their previous series, rounding out at about 12)

So the episode was short in story, not quality or quantity as others may suggest.

yeah i agree with you! the ending shouldn't have been so short and
    a third middle plot
would be nice but as you said it wasn't short in story or quality that's the good side :D

Dangerzone, spoiler alerts (and tags) woulda been pretty nice. Thanks.

No need to be snippy, besides... you should not be readin' a reflection thread if you have not played the game anyways ;)

So im covered... but I added tags none the less

The ending kinda makes me sad and angry, but not at the game, at the characters, which is a good thing.

Also, I'm so glad several running gags from the previous games made it to the game.

Really didn't mean the message to be snippy, and it wasn't for me, it was for anyone else that might have wandered into this thread. Just good practice to always put in spoiler tags any time you mention a specific event in a game/movie/book/what have you if it's not a well known happening (like things in the official trailer being mentioned really don't need tags I suppose).

Personally, the "wind-changing" act felt like two acts. There were two parts: one that lasts from the introduction of "Deep Gut" to getting through the door to the wind machine, and then one where you figure out how to work the wind machine. Yes, each was shorter than the act that preceded it (the pirate crimes), but they still felt like separate parts.

But Monkey Island is no stranger to thin acts. In CMI, Parts 1, 3, 5, and 6 are all razor thin, and the only two parts with meat on them (granted, it's a lot of meat) were 2 and 4.

Not really, the modifier (too) isn't necessarily counted as a word. So technically it could be said to be two words.
