LeChuck's New Form ft. Spoilers

I loved the new LeChuck model and voice.

Then...he turns human. And he looks...weak. Like a girly pirate or something. He even looks NICE. I'm guessing this is a story angle and that'll we'll have a new menacing villain or something? It's jarring but it's not necessarily a bad thing. I'm just surprised.

I'm just sad to see the old cool LeChuck model get so little use after the intro, except for
clicking the wishing well which was pure lol.

I didn't like the design for his human form, he looked like an oversized child with a giant beard.

And I really liked LeChuck's design in this game, it's a shame he's gonna be in human form for most of the game...

Yeah I loved the new design and I was sad it seemed like it was going to be underused. I'm hoping he dies again midstory.

Something perplexes me. When Guybrush asks LeChuck about his new look, he says "Didn't you used to be a ghost? Or a demon? Or maybe it was a zombie..." which seems to indicate that his new form is more than just a redesign of his zombie form. What's the deal?

I actually like how he looks as a human. He might not look as evil, but some of the most wicked people in history look the least likely to be villains. Also, according to Mike and Dave, LeChuck will remain vicious and murderous and still remain a villain. I think he may have planned it all; he looked pretty content when he was normal, like he was expecting it.

I'm glad to hear LeChuck is still going to be his normal, jerkbag self.

As for the zombie thing, I think that's just more reference material for old players and a joke that Guybrush forgot he was a zombie.

    He looked like a wimp.

Which could turn out to be pretty funny :D

I think people forget that LeChuck was a monster even before he was undead. The guy was literally the mightest pirate ever meaning he was great at murder, pillaging, looting, and creating mass chaos. He was a mass murderer and just plain vicious and cruel, just because he doesn't look as evil doesn't mean he isn't. He's gonna milk this "nice" appearance to get Elaine, but he still has the same evil personality.

I've forgotten most of LeChuck's backstory due to not replaying any of the games due to the Special Edition.

This is an older post I made; the following is taken directly from the manual of Escape from Monkey Island for the Ps2. It explains his character.

LeChuck: Even before he died, Captain LeChuck's name was feared throughout the Tri-Island Area. A sadistic jerk with an appetite for destruction, LeChuck pillaged and plundered his way across the seas, stopping only long enough to watch villages, ships, and the occasional puppy farm burn to the ground. His rampaging evil might have gone forever unchecked had he not happened upon Melee Island and its beautiful governor, Elaine Marley. Feeling something soft and gooey in the black pit of his heart, LeChuck abandoned his reign of terror, and ardently wooed the unreceptive governor, who told him to drop dead.

Amazingly, he did. But then he came back, first as a ghost, then as a zombie, and finally as a demon. At each undead step, LeChuck's plans to win Elaine's heart were thwarted by Guybrush Threepwood, who further infuriated the villain bu successfully stealing Elaine's heart. As his resurrections and defeats piled up, LeChuck's obsessions threatened to consume Guybrush, Elaine, and every living soul in the Caribbean.

Luckily for everyone involved, the scourge of LeChuck has finally been eliminated, buried beneath a mountain of ice on Monkey Island. Or so it would seem...
